Describing the architectural team’s approach, project designer Elvis Achelpohl says it was important to express the materiality of the buildings while maintaining the “hidden, industrial, overgrown” aesthetic of the area. To complement exposed brick, concrete, and heavy timber throughout, a central courtyard features native plantings and is flanked by existing murals created by street artists over the decades. WWI Museum in Kansas City

Wow!!! The National WWI Museum and Memorial in Kansas City was amazing! If you are a history buff this a must go see!!! There is so much information that you could spend hours upon hours reading about what happened and seeing neat artifacts from the war. There is also a great overlook spot that allows you to see the majority of downtown Kansas City! If you are in KC, this is a must stop for anyone. It is awesome to see all about the world history, even if you aren’t a major history buff! Getting There - Downtown Kansas City, Missouri, near the Union Center and the Money Museum. Attractions - So many WWI artifacts to look at! The amount of information was impeccable! Hotels - Westin KC, Embassy Suites by Hilton, and the Truitt are all pretty close and extremely nice for a family stay! Food & Restaurants - Kansas City is home to the well-known KC style BBQ. This city features great spots to eat, such as Joe’s Kansas City BBQ, Arthur Bryant’s BBQ, LC’s BBQ, and Slaps BBQ Shopping - Lots of great shopping areas! If you come on a weekend, the city market days are a great place to check out!

Vaca starts Today!

After a long winter it’s officially Memorial Day. I’d like to thank Trip.com for all their accommodations and hassle free booking through these times. I’m 7 months pregnant and do hard hard labor as my boyfriend owns a construction/rehab handyman like company. this last year has been crazy with covid and life in general but all thanks to Trip we are finally able to take the much needed time we have been lacking in and enjoy ourselves in an amazing king suite with a kitchen and all for the next 5 days relaxing poolside with each other and some good friends and family. All for less than 500 dollars! this is going to be great. Thank you Trip!
