2025 Kamikawa District Travel Guide: Must-see attractions, popular food, hotels, transportation routes (updated in August)

The most memorable moments during my Hokkaido trip were undoubtedly when I pressed the camera shutter. Driving from Sapporo to Biei, I discovered five incredible photo spots that I highly recommend. These places, showcasing the untouched beauty of nature, were so breathtaking that photos alone couldn't capture their full essence. 1. Lone Tree (Seven Stars Tree) 🌳 On a vast hill, there stands a solitary tree. A single photo encapsulates tranquility and solace. Even without a drone, the vibes are immaculate! 2. Blue Pond (Aoiike) 💧 The reflection of the sky on the water and the silhouettes of dried trees create a dreamy atmosphere. This is a sight you must experience in person. 3. Shirahige Waterfall ❄️ A spectacle in both winter and summer. The white, thread-like streams of water connect to the Blue Pond, adding a touch of mystery. 4. Farm Tomita 🌸 If it's summer, this is a must-visit! The colorful fields of lavender and other flowers are perfect for capturing life’s best shots. Although I visited during the transition from winter to spring and missed the flowers, the open space was still beautiful. Plus, the lavender ice cream sold at the shop is delicious! 💕 5. Takushinkan 🏡 A serene blend of traditional Japanese architecture and nature. Recharge your senses in this peaceful setting. 📷 For those planning a trip, make sure to include these five spots in your itinerary! They offer not only the joy of photography but also a chance to relax and rejuvenate your spirit.

#AdventureTrip I'm not sure if anyone knows Asahidake Mt. in Hokkaido? I'd like to tell you that in Hokkaido, aside from the popular winter skiing/snowboarding season ⛄️🏂, in the summer you can also go trail walking or trekking. 🌳 This is Asahi-dake Mt. in July. From the Asakidake ropeway, take the cable car to Sugatami station on the mountain. Then there will be a trail about 1.7 km or if you can't handle it, you can walk a small loop, Inner trial (I've attached a map at the end of the picture). For those who can handle it and want to continue, there's a mountain trail where you can walk and enjoy the view for a long time. I'd like to say that the view is soooooo beautiful. You can walk and enjoy the view, stop and take pictures, it's so good. The path isn't too difficult, but there are a lot of rocks. Some places are slippery, some places are steep, so you have to look at the path. Don't get too caught up in the view, lol. And don't forget to apply sunscreen and bring a hat/UV-protection shirt. After you've finished walking, Get off the cable car at the ground station. A café that is a 2-3 minute walk from Biei Station☕ It's right from the station, so it's easy to use not only for those traveling by car, but also for those traveling by JR or bus.There are also rental bicycles, so it's recommended for those who want to enjoy cycling in Biei🚲It has a selection of hot or cold drinks and hot soup. We ordered coffee, fruit juice, pasta, waffle and soup. Overall the pasta and drink are yummy. Definitely will come back again next time if drop by Biei.

A cottage where you can experience the extraordinary feeling of being in a foreign land, as if you were overseas. Driving over a hill, a small village appears. Far away from the hectic daily life, time seems to flow slowly, and you can spend time in such a healing space with a calm feeling. There is a TV and Wi-Fi, and it has modern parts, but it was refreshing to get away from them a little and look at the magnificent scenery that spread out before you while swinging in a hammock. Each house also has its own meals, so the private space is maintained, and there was a wide variety of dishes, so I was very satisfied. I spent 2 nights in Asahikawa and went around various places. I also saw many tourist spots in Furano, Asahitake, and Biei. I only ate in Asahikawa city.

It was pouring rain so I couldn't take a picture of the outside, but if it was sunny, I think it would be a roadside station where you can enjoy a lot of things. ▶️Burger shop! Volume-filled Hamburger shop attached to the roadside station🍔 They use plenty of ingredients from Biei Town, where the water and air are clean, and serve freshly made hamburgers in a takeaway format. The concept is a forest picnic, and there is an eat-in space with 30 seats inside the store. There is also a terrace seating surrounded by forest outside. The fries that come with the set are volume-filled and incredibly delicious! I ordered two, but they changed the type of fries, so it was nice to be able to eat two types. They also sell milk, soft serve ice cream, and yogurt from Biei Farm. #December Travel Support Event Hokusei no Oka View Park was a healing spot where you could enjoy Hokkaido's wide fields and beautiful scenery. When you climb up to the park, the endless grasslands and winding paths spread out like a painting, making it perfect for taking pictures. Especially at sunset, the red sky created an even more romantic atmosphere. It was the perfect place to take a walk and feel nature in a quiet and secluded atmosphere. The only regret was that it was a bit inaccessible by public transportation, but it was definitely worth a visit.
