🔷What is Ikan Bakar? Ikan Bakar is a Balinese specialty where you can enjoy a seafood barbecue while watching the sunset on the beach. Many people visit as part of a tour, but I personally recommend sampling the various restaurants on Jimbaran Beach, a long-standing beach. While all the restaurants recommend a set menu that includes barbecue, rice, and side dishes, the portions are so large that we prefer to order à la carte. 🔷How to Choose an Ikan Bakar Restaurant The beach restaurants in front of the Meridien tend to be popular with tour groups and relatively pricey. However, being within walking distance of your hotel is convenient for those who don't want to take a taxi after dark or for families with small children. For a quieter beach experience and more affordable ikan bakar, I recommend the restaurants around Jimbaran Beach Cafe, about 10 minutes north of here. 🔷Le Meridien Bali, Jimbaran Recommended Points ⚫︎Location Above all, the location is great—you can walk to Ikan Bakar. You can also walk to cafes, nail salons, and more by going to the street opposite the beach. Some reviews have mentioned that the fumes from the curling salon can be bothersome in the evenings, but since our room was the farthest from the beach, it wasn't a big deal. Also, the airport is only about a 15-minute taxi ride away, so we usually stay here on the day of arrival or the day before flying back home. ⚫︎Spacious Rooms❣️ All rooms at Le Meridien Bali are spacious and spacious. We requested birthday decorations for our child in advance, and they installed balloons and a children's tent, and even provided a birthday cake and sweets. Some reviews have mentioned the room being dated and damp, but we didn't notice any issues. ⚫︎Even Gold Elite members enjoy a variety of hospitality experiences❣️ I'm a Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite member, and in addition to the aforementioned celebration for my child's birthday, I received other special hospitality, such as a room upgrade and a second welcome drink delivered to my room. It felt like it was hidden away in an alley, so at first I thought I'd stumbled into the wrong place, but the moment I opened the door... the stylish space lifted my spirits. 🌿 Natural wood-toned interior, green plants, and soft music. The atmosphere was calm and sophisticated, without any fuss, and just sitting there felt soothing. I ordered the hash brown benedict and the signature lemonade. Every single ingredient in the brunch was fresh, and I especially enjoyed the clean flavor of the sauce. The lemonade was refreshing without being too sweet, perfect for the Balinese weather. 🍋 It's the perfect place to enjoy a quiet brunch or relax with a book. I loved the relaxed, organized atmosphere, free from the hustle and bustle of tourist destinations. I'd definitely return. The stylish interior stood out from the outside, and the bright and airy interior made it a great place for taking photos. The coffee menu offered a variety of drinks, from basics to signature items. The cold brew and latte were particularly well-balanced and delicious. The desserts were also neatly arranged, perfect to pair with my coffee. The staff were friendly and responsive, making for a comfortable stay. The reliable Wi-Fi made it a great place to take out my laptop for a quick break during my trip. The prices are average for Balinese cafes, so it wasn't too expensive. #familytrips2024 went to Bali with my Hubby and handsome son, hotel was nice with huge room, nice swimming pool and good breakfast but air-conditioning not cold enough And what the most not nice there is, we rent a motorbike and we went to the indomart or ant place, there are a guy who always waiting and ask to pay parking fee. It's weird since I living in Malaysia and travel to many different country countries.Im not so happy to to travel there.
