Xitang Wine Museum

Once inside Xitang Ancient Town, you will find many stores and home stays. However, the ticket for entry to the Ancient Town also offers entry to the small museums inside here. One of these is the China Wine Museum. It’s quite small in size but it is filled with ceramics and wine related objects from various areas of China. Each piece has a detailed label of its history and how it could be used. Walking around here will take only 20-30 minutes maximum as it’s only 3 rooms in total. It’s quiet inside but AC is not included. Xitang is like many ancient towns, winding roads that you can follow at random. Many of the places in the West area seem closed but just behind the hotels you can find this cute cafe and bar. Whole Life Coffee and Bar has a range of coffee styles and small food items to enjoy. The atmosphere inside is funky and fun, the owner is really friendly. The menu is only in Chinese though so be prepared to translate or know your order. Prices range from 28RMB upwards.
