2024 Jeollabuk-do Travel Guide: Must-see attractions, popular food, hotels, transportation routes (updated in November)
Naejangsan National Park- Autumn destination
Naejangsan National Park is a must-visit in 2024—definitely a place to experience more than once!
The shuttle bus costs 1,000 won for adults and 500 won for children, while the cable car is 10,000 won for adults (expect to wait in line). Parking is free if you dine at the restaurant.
The vibrant maple leaves are breathtaking from the moment you arrive. I’m so glad I came! Naejangsan’s fall foliage is both stunning and fleeting, so I plan to savor every moment.
Even if you don’t hike up to Naejangsa Temple, there are plenty of rest areas to enjoy the scenery, and admission to the temple is free! ❤️

A Peaceful Outing Near Daejeon: Iksan Agape Garden
Agape Garden has a special charm. It’s not too large but offers enough space for a peaceful walk and quiet reflection. Strolling through, I noticed the warm, welcoming phrase "Yoren," which added a heartwarming touch to the experience.
Originally part of the nursing home grounds for over 50 years, this garden is now open for everyone to enjoy. With its well-kept paths and vibrant greenery, it's a perfect place to unwind.
If you’re in Iksan, it's worth a visit. Enjoy your time there!

Naejangsan Hike to Seoraebong: Scenic Views and Autumn Colors
The summit of Naejangsan, Sinseonbong (726m), takes about 6 hours round-trip to hike. I chose the shorter Seoraebong route, which offers stunning views of Naejangsan’s peaks and allows for plenty of time to visit Naejangsa Temple afterward.
As of October 26, the fall foliage wasn’t at its peak, so I recommend visiting in early November for the best colors. The walk from the parking lot to the trailhead features a beautiful maple tree tunnel, making it worth walking instead of taking the shuttle bus (₩1,000 one-way).
For great photos, don’t miss Uhwa Pavilion. If you descend from Sinseonbong, the cable car costs ₩10,000 round-trip for adults and offers breathtaking views.
Seoraebong is perfect for a lighter hike with fantastic scenery!

Namwon City Kimbyungjong Art Museum
#koreatripThe museum building is very nice. The works and explanations inside the museum are informative and good. The building is so beautiful that it becomes a photo spot as soon as you get there. Currently, poetry and lacquer work are on display, and it's nice to be able to comfortably view beautiful and creative works for free! There is also a performance in the garden.
The Guryong Valley
#koreatrip Guryong Valley is a deep mountain valley that stretches from Hogyeong-ri, Jucheon-myeon, where the northern branch of Jirisan National Park is located, to Deokchi-ri, Jucheon-myeon, where Guryong Falls is located. This valley, which is connected by beautiful mountains and steep cliffs, is about 3km long.
When you reach the top, you will see the Guryong Falls of Gukgokgyeong. There is a pond called Yongso under Guryong Falls, the first of the eight scenic spots in Namwon. There is a legend that a dragon ascended to heaven here in the past.
Gonggi Village Cypress Forest
#familytrips2024 Gonggi Village Cypress Forest provides various facilities for a comfortable rest. In the forest, there is a relaxation area under the shade of the trees and individual relaxation zones separated by partitions, allowing visitors to easily relax.
There are many activities you can enjoy during your stay in the forest. You can walk along the trails, admire the surrounding natural scenery, or enjoy trekking with family or friends. Also, it is a good idea to spend quiet time in the cypress forest and enjoy meditation or reading a book. If you are planning a vacation or a short trip, visit Gonggi Village Cypress Forest to heal and spend leisurely time in nature. The vitality you get here will definitely fill your daily life.
Soyang Hanok Cafe Terrol☕️, where there is a ferry photo zone
#Hanok
Soyang Cafe Tirol🚤 is located 20 minutes away from Jeonju Hanok Village.
I randomly came here after seeing a photo zone of a ferry, and the drink prices were surprisingly reasonable😃. Although riding the ferry didn't go as smoothly as I thought, I was pleasantly surprised🙃, which made it even more enjoyable😄.
It was such a unique and wonderful time spent here, and I really loved it😘❤️. However, I was a bit disappointed🫢 that the water management seemed to be lacking.

Retro cafe with super high value |
I saw this cafe with a lot of old objects in the whole state, and I fell in love with it. From wooden rocking chairs to gorgeous chandeliers, it reminds me of the time in old Shanghai.
The old piano is in the doorway, and the old photos of black and white are hung in the brick wall. Drinking a cup of coffee is also a great treat.
The Hanok Village, which exudes romance, is located in the area of Fengnan-dong and Jong-dong in Jeonju, Jeollabuk-do, South Korea. It houses more than 800 Korean traditional Korean houses. Jeonju Hanok Village, which is hidden in the ever-changing modern city, is famous for its preservation of the traditional features. The structure of Hanok exudes the taste of nature from material to structure, following the traditional architectural style, the beams of Hanok, The doors and floors are made of natural wood and are structurally strong. The wall is made of a mixture of mud and straw and is well ventilated. The windows of Hanok are usually made of panes first, then Korean paper, which is not only good for lighting, but also easy to switch. In the traditional Hanok, in the winter, the fire is warmed up in the stove, and in the summer, the floor is laid on the stone, which is moisture-proof and ventilated. The outdoor courtyard and the soy sauce basin add a touch of simplicity and secluded beauty to the ancient Han Dynasty. Walking along the streets of Hanok Village, I feel that time has become slow.
When I walk to a place, I always want to live in a local speciality hotel and feel the different customs. The Langlang House B&B is very popular, and the whole house has three bedrooms and two bathrooms. It is very cost-effective to rent and live with friends. ~
The living room is very large and can accommodate many people to have a tabletop game. Some of our friends are here while watching TV while eating and playing board games, very casual.
The basic facilities of the homestay are all available. I believe that everyone knows everything. I won't say much, remind everyone to bring their toothbrush and toothpaste. ~
The travel guide in various languages is very intimate. Can look over to see ~
Jeonju Hanok Village is the only Hanok community in Korea that has been preserved in the city. There are more than 700 Hanok houses, which are representative Korean cultural and cultural destinations that exude traditional life culture.
also has Qingji Temple, Temple Cave Church and so on.
Jeonju Hanok Village is the only Hanok community in Korea that has been preserved in the city. There are more than 700 Hanok houses, which are representative Korean cultural and cultural destinations that exude traditional life culture. As the host city of the 2002 World Cup, the Hanok Village construction project was actively carried out with the World Cup as an opportunity. It has Qingji Temple, Diandong Shengtang, Fengnan Cave, Zhangmutai, Township School, Yucheng Site, Nangu Mountain City, etc. Many cultural relics
The main road of Hanok Village is Taizu Road from Fengnanmen to Zhangmutai. From the section of Fengnanmen to Taizu Road, Shiban Road will let you involuntarily slow down. Hanok Village on the weekend, vehicles are not allowed to pass, tourists coming and going, the whole Hanok Village is full of anger, wearing hanbok all the way to eat and eat, take pictures of each other [Jesus] after lunch to the town of Jeollabuk-do Ann, Zhenan Red Ginseng is Korea's most famous. I stayed at the Red Ginseng Resort and experienced the red ginseng hot spring with my mom. The theme of Tai Chi, the Five Elements, and the outdoor spa pool is the outdoor hot spring bath in addition to various health hot springs. It is very suitable for recuperating the body, many of them. People come to vacation. Have the opportunity to bring a small bottle to the bubble
The most famous of the red ginseng in Korea is Zhen'an in Jeollabuk-do. It has the name of hometown of red ginseng.
If you want to say in the hometown of Red Ginseng, of course, you should experience the most famous red ginseng SPA here. It is a hotel or you can buy a ticket to go to the hot springs. I chose to take my mother for one night. Unlike the hot spring hotels in Japan, this is the famous red ginseng hot spring. Teas that include free hot springs are all red ginseng!
Zhen'an Red Ginseng Hot Spring uses red ginseng, Korean ingredients and the principle of yin and yang, and combines various health management facilities. In addition to health, it can also relax and rest.
Enjoy the beauty of the Maer Mountain while enjoying the fun of the open air bathing in the wild~
The attractions of Hanok Village are still very large. If you apply for the same day and return to the same day, you still have to hurry and start. Since I want to experience the traditional Hanok, I booked a one-night home in the whole state.
Personally feel that the past hastily for the experience of Hanok Village, it is obviously a lot easier in two days, and the pace will be more comfortable.
In fact, there are many guesthouses in Hanok Village, many of which are not registered online, and the site can also be booked.
evening, there is a kind of intangible charm in the whole state under the light. If there is an opportunity, LZ recommends that everyone stay in the state for one night. Slowly experience this quaint Hanok Village, stroll through traditional architecture and have a Korean addiction.
