From the humble yet mighty tempeh and the comforting nasi bakul, to the fiery kick of sambal and the perfectly smoky ayam bakar... every single bite was a gastronomic adventure. From Bandung, we rented a van with a driver to Jakarta, which took about 2.5 hours. Here are some interesting places to visit: 1. Monas, the National Monument. You can climb to the top for a panoramic view. The entrance fee is 24k. 2. Kota Tua, the old town, is full of European architecture and a walking square. 3. The National Museum is located near Monas, within walking distance. The entrance fee is 50k. Cash is not accepted. 4. Plaza Indonesia and Grand Indonesia, Indonesia's largest shopping malls, with restaurants and supermarkets inside. In short, it's a city similar to Bangkok, with quite a bit of traffic. Wanting to soothe my travel fatigue, I went to a spa with good reviews on Google! #mytraveldiary We were having meetings for several days and we decide to dine at ome of the steakhouse. As such, we went to this restaurant called El Professor, situated at North Jakarta. They serve different kinds of beef and even Wagyu and Angus beef, and for those who do not fancy beef, you can also opt for their salmon and prawn option. There are also many kinds of side dish available, and they tasted excellently well. The meat is very tender and cooked with perfection, and the service is also excellent. I really loved the atmosphere and will go there again.

My trip to Jakarta was truly impressive. The hotel I stayed at was spacious and comfortable, providing a relaxing environment. The only minor downside was the transportation system, which requires some patience for commuting. However, the airport was a pleasant surprise—spacious, modern, and well-equipped. Afternoon tea at The Dharmawangsa Jakarta 🫖 Hotel afternoon tea in Japan usually costs close to 10,000 yen... but!!!! In Jakarta, hotel afternoon tea is just under 3,500 yen ☝🏻👸🏼 It comes with three tiers plus traditional Indonesian sweets! They were incredibly delicious~ 🇮🇩 It started at 1 PM on a weekday, and there were only a few customers, so it was a very quiet space. We chose one type of tea for two people, and the pot service allowed up to three refills 🫖💗 Reservations were made via WhatsApp, and at that time, a 50% prepayment was required (by the day before the reservation). Just in case, I transferred the payment the day before, and after that, the process went smoothly! The goods sold are not high-end, but if you want to experience a more local side of Jakarta, this is a place to visit! 💞 Recommended Reason: For some reason, everything sold here is related to the Indonesian flag, as if everyone is celebrating Independence Day. So, I also bought some Indonesian flag-themed items. Thirty small flags cost about 35,000 Indonesian Rupiah, approximately 63 New Taiwan Dollars.
