After a trip to Pakistan, I came back and told you the truth.
1. The people here are warm, kind and helpful. When they see Chinese people, they will greet them warmly and say hello, thank you and goodbye in Chinese.
2. There are no subways in Pakistan and few bus stops. Their buses stop when you raise your hand.
3. When taking public transportation in Pakistan, women usually sit in the front row. There are always three people in the front row of the car. The roof, left, right and back are also full of people. There is no need to stop the car when getting on.
4. Pakistani locals eat with their hands, and only with their right hands. They can pinch the hot rice into their mouths with only three fingers without spilling a grain. Meals are divided into male and female areas. The seats in the hall are reserved for men, and women are placed in a small area, separated by a wall, or simply in another room.
5. The locals are quite respectful of women. The further south you go, the more women you see wrapped tightly in headscarves. Women in black can be seen everywhere.
6. Islamabad gives me a very good feeling. It is called a city, but it is more like a huge park, with large green areas, straight and wide roads, and no crowded streets. There is no mixture of various vehicles. The whole city looks very beautiful, quiet, and orderly.
7. Pakistani buses are actually mini vans. The cars are very old and packed with people. 8. Pakistanis, especially young people, are used to greeting and shaking hands with you warmly, whether on the street or at tourist attractions.
9. Lahore is the second largest city in Pakistan. The low and dilapidated buildings in the old city are far away from high-rise buildings. The luxury cars speeding on the street and the leisurely carriages form a sharp contrast.
10. There are rarely traffic lights on the streets of Lachi, nor are there zebra crossings or flyovers. Occasionally, armed police will come out to maintain traffic order, with long semi-automatic rifles on their waists. In many cases, you can only cross the road by force.
11. The official language of Pakistan is English. In the luxury residential area, all billboards, supermarket labels, menus, and movie subtitles are all in English. People who don't know English can only work as drivers, workers, waiters, and other hard and low-paid jobs.
12. Poor families live in an old attic, and have long been accustomed to the countless flies in the room. All sewage is discharged into the narrow gap between the two buildings. There is a mountain of garbage at the door and no one cares.
13. Less than a few kilometers away from the poor area, there is a group of villas. Each foreign-style building is exquisite and luxurious, and there are private gardens as big as playgrounds, flat streets with regular road signs, and enjoy special car drivers and servants.
14. On the street, you will often meet very young children, the elderly, or the disabled, switching between English, Urdu, or even Chinese to ask you for money. They are so poor that they can't even find a place to stay, and no one will give them a job.
15. When Pakistanis get married, the bride and groom's friends will rehearse dances a few weeks in advance and compete in dance battles at the wedding. 16. Pakistani universities are very expensive, with tuition fees of more than 100,000 yuan a year.
