Binondo-Intramuros Bridge!
#traveldiaries
This bridge is actually the result of a joint agreement between The Philippines and China. So, it's called Binondo-Intramuros Bridge. It was built during Pres. Duterte. Binondo is where you can find China town. Lots of Chinese food and products. Some people go fishing by the bridge in the afternoon. I'm not sure if they get any. It's a good place to walk around too not on the bridge of course. Pasig river belows the bridge makes it more attractive to look at.

Barbara's is the Best Heritage Restaurant in Manila, located in Intramuros in the early 90s revoluti
The place has a very old-school charm and truly is the symbol of how the affluent Filipinos lived in the 19th century.
For some people who loves Filipino dishes! This is a must visit resto. The tradition is conserved. Best to visit with your family, very well entertained with the Cultural dance.
The food was very average and the service too. The food was okay, but the serving time was too long. However, if you want to experience the cultural heritage of the Spanish town of intramurous, it might be worth a visit. A nice ambiance to date.

Exploring Intramuros, the historic walled city of Manila, was like stepping into a living museum. Cobblestone streets, colonial architecture, and centuries-old churches set a nostalgic atmosphere. I visited landmarks like Fort Santiago, Casa Manila, and San Agustin Church, each offering a rich story of the Philippines' Spanish colonial era. Horse-drawn carriages added charm to the experience, while local guides shared insightful tales. Despite the modern city outside, Intramuros retains its old-world allure. Evening lights and sky at Intramuros💛🧡
As we leave the sky turns into sunset hues and we walk towards the main gate. Traditional lamps are lit up in the trees and people sit on benches to chat and catch up.
The sky is lovely at sunset and the trees look beautiful when the lights come on. There is a bit of breeze as we walk out.
Walk around here when you finish sightseeing👍

We also go into a little enclaved museum here. It showcases some Philippine cultural structures and items built using Lego.
They have displays on both the ground floor and the upper floor—the steps to go up are quite steep so visitors need to be careful. Otherwise the displays of these are quite nice, the bigger ones such as the Philippines eagle is displayed upstairs. Have a look when you visit Fort Santiago👍

Heavenly Sunset sky from Intramuros.
The heavens seemed to open up when we looked up at the sky here, beautiful💜
So of course we took advantage of the sight, had some shots of our own before the night arrived.
After roaming the grounds we climbed up some building to look around a bit but instead this view came and we just stood there for a bit to enjoy the sight!

Here in Intramuros, you get a bit of both nature and history!
Definitely a must visit for visitors wanting to dig into the history of Philippines.

As we walk around, we noticed a lot of the fortifications still intact and maintained. There is a Jose Rizal Shrine, a White Cross where it states that around here there are more than 600 bodies buried on the site. We also saw an underground dungeon where people can go into, we did not though as it was quite low and dark.

🇵🇭Fort Santiago in Manila-A must visit💙
#aprilblooms
🇵🇭Pristine Philippines🇵🇭
We walk towards the Fort Santiago, the oldest Spanish bastion in the Philippines. Situated inside the walled city of Intramuros, this site witnessed many historical events of the Philippines.
The exact spot where Fort Santiago now stands was once a Muslim kingdom ruled by a chieftain named Rajah Sulayman. When the Spaniards landed in the Philippines in 1571, they destroyed the site and built a fortress instead, naming it after Spain’s patron saint, Saint James (Santiago in Spanish). The structure served as their defense fortress.

We now roam around Intramuros💕
Intramuros, meaning "within the walls" in Spanish, is a historic district situated at the heart of Manila. It was was founded by Spanish conquistador Miguel López de Legazpi in 1571. It was built as a defensive fortress surrounded by massive stone walls and moats to protect the Spanish settlers from attacks by local indigenous groups and other foreign powers. The walls of Intramuros stood as a physical barrier between the Spanish elite and the outside
World.
Visitors can also ride the horse carriages around Intramuros, a nice way to experience the area👍
