Incheon Airport Terminal 1 | SPA at Home (formerly SPA ON AIR) Steam Room – The most relaxing 6 hours before and after your flight 🛫♨️
#September2025
On the basement level of Terminal 1, drop off your luggage, enjoy a hot shower, and snooze in the jjimjilbang—those with long layovers, red-eye flights, or early morning arrivals can recharge their batteries here.
My "Snapping Castle" at the Airport: A Real Experience
Stepping inside, the space is clean and quiet, featuring light-colored stone and wooden grilles. After putting away your shoes and collecting your locker key, you first rinse off the dryness and fatigue from the flight. Then, switch between hot and cold showers to slow your heart rate. The jjimjilbang is wood-clad and indirectly lit, and the temperature isn't sweat-inducing, but comfortable enough for a good, relaxed sit-and-daze moment. After washing and blowing your hair, you can rest in a reclining chair for 1-2 hours, feeling refreshed and ready for your next flight.
A small reminder: Sleeping is done in a large bunk bed, so snoring is a possibility. Earplugs really help (travelers also mention this in their testimonials).

Background and Development | Why do you see two names in T1?
This sauna has been operating in T1 for many years, known as SPA ON AIR. Starting in January 2025, the operator opened a new "SPA at Home" in T2, labeled a 24-hour Korean-style sauna. Therefore, you'll see signs and receipts in T1 bearing the name SPA at Home. Essentially, the function is the same, with the brand identity refresh and expansion (T2) progressing simultaneously.
⸻
How to Get There | Two Steps (On-site Directions are the Most Accurate)
1. Arrive at the T1 Arrivals Level (1F) → Take the escalator down next to Gate 3.
2. Go to the east side of B1 and follow the signs for the Food Court and Health Check Center until you see the sign (before security/immigration, and also in non-transit areas).
⸻
Guidelines (Use the 6–12 hours)
• Eat before entering: Meals are not sold in the jjimjilbang area, so it's recommended to restock outside. Shake Shack (24 hours) next to the H counter in Terminal 1, 3F Lobby, or Landside Cafe/Snacks are both conveniently located. Address: Landside, 3F, Terminal 1, Incheon International Airport, 272 Gonghang-ro, Jung-gu, Incheon; Phone: 032-743-0099 (24 hours)
• Luggage: Luggage can be stored at the counter (charged per piece); valuables should be locked up and carried with you.
• Bathing sequence: Shower first → Soak in the hot springs → Jjimjilbang → Cold pool → Sleep → Shower again before exiting for the most comfortable rhythm.
• Toiletries: Basic toiletries and a hairdryer are provided on site. Towels are small, so those who prefer larger towels may wish to bring a thinner one. • Overnight: For a quieter, more private stay, stay at the Darakhyu Capsule Hotel in the same terminal: Terminal 1, Transportation Center, 1F (airport address as above), within walking distance of the jimjilbang.

6 Reasons You'll Love It
1. Unbeatable Location: Available at Terminal 1 B1, before security, even if arriving early or on a connecting flight; no need to leave the country to find a jimjilbang in the city.
2. Affordable Prices: Showers are 10,000 JPY, and packages of 6–12 hours are 20,000–35,000 JPY—hard-to-beat value at the airport.
3. Well-equipped: Hot/cold tubs, dry/wet steam rooms, rest areas, and toiletries are all available all in one place.
4. Sleep-Friendly: Large bunk beds/recliners and soft lighting ensure you'll be comfortable before your flight.
5. Clear circulation: The entrance is on the east side of B1, with the food court and transportation center connected, making dining, showering, and boarding the bus/train all convenient.
6. Brand upgrade: The new Terminal 2 facility operates 24 hours a day under the name SPA at Home, representing continued investment in the airport's sauna services. The Terminal 1 signage has also been gradually updated.

Food review (including address!)
•Shake Shack Incheon Airport Terminal 1 (24 hours)
Address: Landside, 3F, Terminal 1, Incheon International Airport, 272 Gonghang-ro, Jung-gu, Incheon; Phone: 032-743-0099.
I ordered: The Signature Burger with Crispy Potatoes. It's a great way to get a good protein and starch before heading into the sauna for a night shift. You can also soak after eating so you don't feel hungry or full. •Haneulmaru Café (Transportation Center B1)
Address: Transportation Center, B1, Terminal 1, Incheon International Airport, 272 Gonghang-ro, Jung-gu, Incheon (middle area).
I ordered: Iced Americano + simple sandwich. Let them hydrate and refresh you, and the jimjilbang is just a short walk away.
Both of these cafes are located before security and within walking distance, making it easy to find food even late at night. Check the official dining page for other 24-hour or nearby locations.

A Little History | How did the "jimjilbang at the airport" come about?
Incheon Airport has long been renowned for its layover experience. The jimjilbang and rest facilities in the basement of Terminal 1 are a prime example of how Korean bathhouse culture has been brought to the country. Recently, they've expanded their SPA at Home service to Terminal 2, enhancing their 24-hour service and making red-eye flights and long layovers less of a struggle.
