Located on the island of Salamina, this ancient site offers a fascinating glimpse into Greece's rich history. The entrance fee was just €6, which felt like a steal for the amount of history and culture packed into this place. The views of the Aegean Sea from the acropolis were breathtaking, and wandering through the ruins, you can almost hear the whispers of the past. 🏛️ Nearby, I explored the charming village of Kanakia, which has quaint cafes and lovely seaside views. If you have time, the nearby Salamina Archaeological Museum is worth a visit to get more context about the artifacts found in the area. Spetses Island is a sunny paradise nestled in the embrace of the Aegean Sea, designed to meet the needs of those seeking a unique Greek vacation experience. For this sailing holiday, we decided not to sleep in the cabin but opted for a local guesthouse instead. The guesthouse is clean, well-equipped, and located by the seaside. Nearby, there are many Venetian-style mansions and boutique hotels that feature unique architectural designs blending traditional and modern elements. Although staying in these luxurious places is beyond our budget, simply admiring them is a different kind of enjoyment!
