A Journey Full of Surprises and Challenges at Huangshan
From the moment I started climbing Huangshan, I was awestruck by the majestic peaks and the swirling mists, feeling as if I had stepped into a breathtaking landscape painting. As I gradually ascended, I began to appreciate the unique charm of Huangshan.
The mountain path, though steep at times, was filled with surprises at every step. The peculiar pines, bizarre rocks, clear streams, and occasional bird songs all brought me immense joy. Especially when I reached the summit and looked down at the sea of clouds and the surrounding mountains, a sense of grandeur and pride surged within me.
Climbing Huangshan is not only a physical challenge but also an unforgettable experience. If you have the chance, you must come and feel the awe and beauty of nature for yourself!
Everything is just right for the trip to Huangshan (a quite comprehensive guide, feel free to ask)
Choose the right weather, otherwise the Huangshan you see will look like the last two pictures. Go up the mountain from the back and down from the front, otherwise you'll climb until you doubt life. I'm the kind of person with relatively poor physical strength, this route is just right for me, I can't accept a bit from the front mountain up.
3. For those chubby friends who go up the Lotus Peak from the back mountain, if you want to challenge yourself and see the incredibly dangerous scenery on the platform, I recommend going down from the front mountain. I'm extremely grateful that I went down from the front mountain, the scenery is really good! But also act according to your ability, my friend slipped several times when going down the front mountain, I also occasionally ask passers-by to give me a hand, the climbers are very united!
4. This time I climbed the Bright Summit and Lotus Peak, a great achievement in life completed! Happy! I'm not very tired climbing Lotus Peak, because of the queue, I can climb slowly, my friend can't rush me haha
5. Recommend staying on Bright Summit, there are astronomical telescopes at night, I saw Saturn for the first time, very excited. I saw the sunset glow, stars, sunrise, satisfied! I don't know much about other mountain top hotels, I hate looking at guides, it's foggy so I directly ask friends who have been there for recommendations, but Baiyun is a long uphill road from Bright Summit, if I stay in Baiyun, I probably won't come out to see the stars and sunrise
Yellow mountain- Huangshan
Yellow mountain or mount Huangshan is one of China’s best known scenic spot.
📍Location: Huangshan, Anhui province.
⏰ I recommend staying 2 nights on top of the mountain.
🏨: There are quite a few hotels to choose from.
I stayed at Baiyun and it was pretty decent.
Here’s the address: Near Haixin Pavilion, Tianhai Scenic Area, Huangshan, 245800, Anhui, China.
I had a blast at Yellow Mountain!
It’s absolutely beautiful and the sunrise was especially breathtaking.
There are quite a few flights of stairs to climb so be ready for a good hike.

Nine Dragon Glorious Waterfalls🐉💦🏔🏞
🐉 Nine Dragon Waterfall
✨This glorious 2 hour round trip hike is well worth the steps! 🥾Just stunning! One of my favourite waterfalls in China so dar!
The first 30 mins or so you follow the river trail upwards. 🚶♀️There is a small old temple ⛩and then a bigger more impressive one where you can donate for coins and put into various bowls for offerings. It’s newly built/renovated.
There is an obstacle course (198 for 22 obstacles – 98 for 11) you can do which is slightly obstructive to the river views on your way up but when you reach the big waterfalls it’s views for days! 🤩
Would highly recommend taking the stairs on the left of the first big waterfall – 🥾this will lead you to the “first waterfall” which is out of this world. 😍There are three waterfalls up top – a long bench to sit and admire and a small pagoda area to sit under if it’s raining with views. 🏞
🚙This is about a 5 mins drive from the South Gate to Mount Huangshan South Gate. Plenty of hotels nearby to stay – I would recommend my wonderful hotel called HuangShan YiYunShanJu as it’s only a 5 mins drive from here.

Emerald Valley - lovely cascading waterfalls
✨Nice, quiet and easy walk along a cascading river with nice mountain ⛰ views🏞
🚙 This is 10 mins drive from Mount Huangshan South Gate and well worth a visit for an afternoon easy going stroll or picnic. 🧺 Cascading rivers in this quiet part of the valley is perfect to watch as the sun goes down illuminating the surrounding valley. There are a series of smaller waterfalls here with nice spots to take some photos too. 🏞
There are some nice new looking places to stay popping up it seems – there used to be a hotel who’s heyday is past and is now closed.
🛏I stayed at a lovely hotel called HuangShan YiYunShanJu which was only a 5 mins walk from here nestled with mountain views with lovely owners and easy access to the surrounding attractions.

A Thanksgiving Hike To Mt. Huangshan ⛰
Huangshan Mountain or Yellow Mountain is one of the most famous mountains, and for me the most beautiful in China. Located at the scenic area of Anhui province, it’s always flocked by domestic tourists, especially during the peak seasons.
There are several hiking routes up and around Huangshan, with the main 3 routes are the western steps, the eastern steps, and the west side canyon. We took the eastern steps, which is the quickest route with 3 hours hiking time.
The walking trails are all well-paved with stone steps, so I’d say it’s pretty safe even for beginners. And trust me, the breathtaking view on your entire way up is worth every steps!

MOUNT HUANGSHAN
Located in southern Anhui Province, Mount Huangshan covers an area of 250 kilometers, of which 154 square kilometers are scenic attractions. Its landscape features “four wonders” of imposing peaks, spectacular rocks, odd-shaped pines, and a sea of clouds.
Mount Huangshan boasts 72 peaks, more than 1,000 meters above sea level, with three main peaks rising majestically. They are both fascinating and dangerously steep. Cliffs, stone forests, stone pillars, stone blocks and egg-shaped stones form the unique granite geomorphological scenery. The pines on the mountain are tall and have fascinating shapes. The famous Welcoming Guests (Yingke) Pine (1,500 years old) and See-Guest-Off Pine have become a symbol of being faithful, unyielding and hospitable.

Thanksgiving
That moment when your hiking 🥾 trip has turned out to be a cloudy one, but there comes one moment when the sunshines so bright and you can see everything so clearly; such a dopamine effect isn't it ?! I too had the same. After I've already booked the hotel and train 🚂 tickets, through trip.com to go to Huangshan with all my hiking gears ⚙️ in place the day isn't really pleasant. Thankfully, I chose the right hotel because of nice comments from trip.com to Baiyun hotel🛍️. My two complete days of hiking involved not only sightseeing, but also interacting with lot of people, sign 🪧 boards and maps. To be honest, after a long time I did a solo tour like this and I feel so lucky for the convenience of booking, arrangement and especially the remainder about things to do in Trip.com🥸. Totally a nice one, and I had a good trip at Huangshan. #tripcom

Mountain Apex
Be ready to get your calf muscles trained, as it is going to be a 2.5 hours hike 🥾down the hill and the only leg muscle that will support will need immense strength. Yes, this time one way up the mountain 🏞️we took the cable car; but hiking down we were ready to give a try. Starting from turtle🐢 peak, we hiked down to Lotus pavilion at first which will take you some half an hour. If you’re strong enough mentally and physically you can go to reach the tallest peak in Huangshan(lotus peak), otherwise just look the top from bottom and move on to Greeting guests pine. Near to this spot there is an amazing valley view spot and also there are some grocery stores. After you reach the Halfway temple 🛕 it is only downwards, and I remember there was only one store on the way before we hit the bottom. Be yourself hydrated all the way, and have some pain relieve spray ⛑️with you; it’ll be handy. #hikefreak #huangshan

Yel-Love !!
For longtime walking barefoot was my practice especially when I'm in mountains; they say it gives a sense of acupuncture with rocks pressing your foot. Hiking is one such activity 🤠I love to. Yellow mountain (黄山) in Anhui province has various hiking trails, and the literal name translation doesn't justify the view 😂.
You can start your hiking from back of the mountain, near to Yunggu temple and hike for around 3 hours to reach White goose ridge. Then some more little hiking will lead you to some view points before finally reaching the Lotus peak 🏞️ where you can see beautiful sunset ❤️. From Shanghai a 3 hour travel in high speed train will lead you to this amazing destination.
#summervacation#hikingtrails
Stunning view from Mount Huangshan
Huangshan (黄山) is easily accessible from Shanghai, less than 3 hours on high speed train then you are at Huangshan North station, which is the nearest town to explore the amazing mountain park. The UNESCO World Heritage site is well known for its peculiarly- shaped granite peaks, sunrise, pine trees and hot springs. The walk inside the park can be quite challenging if you are heading to the famous peak of 蓮花峰. But it’s rewarding after all those steep uphill stairs. The scenery is breathtaking! It will take 6-8 hours to cover a big loop include the peak so make sure you arrive the park as early as possible so as to avoid crowds and give enough time for the walk. You can also stay in one of the handful hotels inside the park for the sunrise and a more leisure pace to explore.

Huangshan Hotspring!!! What is the next thing to do after 2 or 3 days of travel? of course, rest and relax in this very peaceful and relaxing place. Water is everywhere in Huangshan and the sound of the river is so nice to hear. Birds chirping and you suddenly get lost in the forest where you have nice bamboo trees lined up. Do not forget to drop by and give your body a time to rest in this awesome place!

Mt. Huangshan - Top 1 Tourist destination when you are in Huangshan. You still don't know where to go this coming festival? Make sure you add this one to your list. Spend 1 or 2 days in this wonderful mountain. It is indeed a very good place to forget about your busy lives. It is time to give your body the rest it deserve. Take time to relax and enjoy the magnificent views in this mountain and get back to mother nature.

One best thing happened because of the rail network extension in China is, we have the high speed train from Shanghai to 黄山 (literal translation Yellow mountain) in just under 3 hours. This wasn't there before 2 years, and it was much awaited by end of 2019; as 黄山 is comparatively a great getaway spot from Shanghai. It's quite a rare sight to see tropical mountains with not much plants and animals, 黄山 is one of them. With now being the transition from winter to spring, the mountains are perfect for a 3 day escape. And most importantly 黄山 has a lot of hiking routes, which I love the most. I'll share one of them here,
On day 1: Plan your arrival before day evening, and take the hotel at the bottom of the mountain. Especially at 汤口 village; there are many of them with decent breakfast. Then day 1 morning, get a bus to Yunggu temple where you buy bus tickets to go to starting point of hiking. After you get the bus ticket, hop on and get down at the starting point. Here again, you can decide whether you want to hike or cable car also available until White Goose ridge station (yes, there are different names for different view points). If you start to hike, there are many amazing view points that are self explorable. After you reach white goose ridge station, visit Begin-to-believe peak and Black tiger pine. Keep walking towards the hotel, using sign boards and reach there before sunset. You can't miss that for sure.
Day 2: It's your day on the mountain, you can choose to wake up early and see sunrise. Then go for little hike to nearby view points like turtle peak, and the tallest peak in 黄山 the lotus peak. Lion peak is also great to go around. After a relaxed day, I had a amazing hotpot at mountain top. It was such a good day.
Day 3: It's time to see the front side of mountain that has exhilarating views. You can choose to hike down on today and finish up an amazing trip. #qingmingtravel #urbanexplorer #anhuitravel #hiking

Huangshan or Yellow Mountain is very easily accessible by bullet train from Shanghai and Hangzhou. There are several areas of the mountain. Though you can go up by cable car, be ready to hike up and down A LOT at the top. But trust me, it is worth it! 💕 🌟 #happynewyear

Deng Huangshan, Huizhou, Huizhou cuisine, spring breeze rapeseed waiting for you
Huangshan finally entered the most beautiful season, now everywhere the rape, the weather is warming. To visit Huangshan, of course, you should look at the mountains and small mountains. In addition, the more famous people are the ancient Huizhou culture. The old streets of Luxi and Hongcun must be punched.
Schedule can arrange three days and two nights to punch the essence of Huangshan, chartered to go, the local traffic is more cumbersome, but the chartered driver is familiar with the route, convenient and worry-free.
D1 Arrive at Huangshan Tunxi, Youxixi Old Street, Su Huangshan City
D2 Huangshan Scenic Area Tour Huangshan Beihai, Xihai, Suhongcun
D3 Youhongcun-Return to Shenyang
Climbing Huangshan: The world only said that "the five sacred return does not look at the mountains, the Huangshan return does not look at the mountains", and it is "the first mountain in the world."
Nowadays, Huangshan has three ropeways that can be reached by simply picking up. However, climbing is still a thrilling single squid back, 1564 steps, Yunshan meet, rivers and rivers, the feet of the sky.
Walk in Tunxi and Hongcun: From every traditional paper shop, , brush shop, to every tea shop, Anhui restaurant, snack bar, the place is still full of Hui Yun, the township is full.
Huangshan on the tip of the tongue: Huangshan cuisine is extremely ingenious, making people cheeks and fragrance.
Smelly squid, smells "smelly", tastes delicious after cooking, a "smelly" fragrance, after more than 200 years of history.
Stone scorpion, simple vegetable pie, but with a large round stone pressed the pie repeatedly fried, crisp and unusual.
hairy tofu, by artificial fermentation, the surface of the tofu grows a layer of white hair, which is fresh and tender.
In the morning, Huangshan has a magnificent sunrise. In the evening, Huangshan has a starry sky. It is said that Huangshan does not come back to see Yue. In fact, apart from the steepness and peculiarity of Huangshan Mountain, the climate on Huangshan Mountain is also changing day by day. It has rich weather. Tourism resources, Huangshan is surrounded by hundreds of mountains, mountains and clouds, merge into the sea, vast and endless, and this mountain is unique, and it is all-encompassing, windy and dazzling. The colder the weather, the more beautiful the scenery of Huangshan Mountain. If it is snowing, Huangshan is covered with a layer of white cream. It will take a long time for the snow to melt. The sunrise in Huangshan is beautiful, perhaps Its just a casual glimpse, but its enough to last a long time.
Located in the West Seaview Area of Huangshan Scenic Area, Huangshan Paiyun Pavilion is the only place to pass the Xihai Grand Canyon. It is a long-shaped scenic pavilion with granite stone structure and stone root engraved with the word paiyun pavilion. The open view here is the best place to see the wonders of Huangshan Qiaoshi. Because the clouds in the West Sea rose and rolled in the valley, but before the stone pavilion, they disappeared, hence the name "Puyun Pavilion." There are many peaks like arrow-like forests, big peaks and peaks, small peaks overlapping, whenever the clouds linger, the layers of peaks are hidden, like countless islands in the vast sea. Especially the sun is slanting in the west, the layers are full of dyes, and the weather is tens of thousands, showing a wonderful scene of infinite wonders. From the Paiyun Pavilion to the south, the famous Feilai Stone. Feilai Stone is not only unique in shape, but also has a wonderful painting environment on the platform. The double-cut peaks and double-bamboo peaks are like a magical landscape painting.
Anhui Jiu Jia Spicy Pig Trotter is recommended.
The first pig trotter hot pot in Anhui, delicious and good for your skin!|||In this cold season, if you are looking for warmth and satisfaction, come to this restaurant for pig trotter hot pot and enjoy a luxurious journey of taste. It is really delicious and good for your skin. 😋
The pig trotter hot pot here is really delicious. You can choose chicken feet or pork ribs, which are very rich! The front pig trotter is used, with fewer bones and more meat and tendons. The pig trotter is tender and not fishy, with a soft and rotten taste, easy to remove from the bone, very tasty, with a sticky feeling, and full of collagen!
After eating pig trotters and chicken feet, the thick soup can also be used to cook vegetables. The unlimited self-service vegetables here are rich in variety, and you can choose whatever you want, with a combination of meat and vegetables, and double the nutrition!
Whether it is with rice 🍚 or noodles, it is super delicious. Who can resist such a steaming pot of pig trotters! I recommend my friends to try it, you will really love it. 🥰

Notes
Buy tickets and cableway tickets one day in advance. If there are free ticket activities, make an appointment in advance. If you don't make an appointment on the free ticket day, don't go because tickets are not sold.
Do not feed monkeys when encountering them, and pay attention to safety.
Bring dry food and water, but not too much to avoid carrying too much weight when climbing the mountain. If you are really hungry, you have to spend money, otherwise, you won't be able to climb.
Choose to go up the back mountain and down the front mountain because the back mountain is relatively flat, which can save energy, and avoid travel groups with fewer people, but pay attention to safety when going down the steep slope of the front mountain, and hold the rope beside you.
The cableway closes at around 5 pm, and the time will be adjusted during holidays. Be sure to check the time, otherwise, you can only walk down the mountain.
Huangshan
Very beautiful mountain. Highly recommended to stay 1 night at the mountain and leaving your luggage at the base hotel after you check out.
Stand on the top of Mount Huangshan and welcome the dawn.
There is a saying that "After visiting Mount Huangshan, you will find that no other mountain is worth a visit." This is not just a saying. Even rain and fog cannot hide its beauty. The ancients were right. It is a beauty that cannot be captured by a phone camera. It is 10,000 times more stunning in real life. The only way to express the shock in your heart is to say "Wow." I suggest that you climb Mount Huangshan at least once in your life!

A Majestic Adventure at Huangshan Mountain
I recently spent two unforgettable days at Huangshan Mountain, and it was an amazing yet challenging journey! I started by taking a train from Hefei to Huangshan North, where tour buses are easily available to Tangkou town, right near the entrance. I stayed at a cozy, affordable hotel (thanks to Trip.com’s great options).
On Day 1, after settling in and taking a quick rest, we visited the Nine Dragons Waterfall. It’s beautiful, but fair warning – the stairs are endless! If you’re not in top physical condition, I’d suggest avoiding the highest waterfall. Your legs will thank you the next day when you face the mountain itself!
Day 2 was dedicated to exploring the mountain. We took the Yungu Cableway up, enjoying stunning views of this majestic landscape. The scenery is breathtaking, but there are a lot of stairs to climb. The key is to go at your own pace, take breaks, and soak in the natural beauty. Don’t forget to carry water and snacks! We descended via the Yuping Cableway around 5:30 PM, so remember to check the last cable car timing in your plan.
P.S- For halal food options, there’s just one Lanzhou noodle place in tangkou, so plan ahead if you have dietary preferences.
Huangshan is a rewarding but physically demanding experience, and I recommend staying an extra night before heading back to relax. All in all, a tiring but completely worthwhile adventure
