This canyon and valley are located in the southern part of Iceland and are incredibly beautiful. You can walk along the path to the starting point of the eastern side of the canyon. This path has been paved for some time now. From the parking lot, there is a trail leading to several viewpoints and observation platforms. Surprisingly, most tourists only check out the first two and ignore the farther one. In fact, it's just a few meters away and offers wonderful views and waterfalls. If you want to see the best views, you must walk all the way down. The river flowing through the valley comes from the Öræfajökull glacier, shaping this beautiful spot. This location was also used for filming the first episode of the eighth season of 'Game of Thrones'. Daenerys and Jon Snow are seen riding their dragons through this canyon. Driving from Route 1, take a gravel road suitable for cars of any size for 18 kilometers to reach the canyon's paid parking lot. You can easily complete the payment by scanning a QR code. #campingfun I recently camped at Camping Höfn in Iceland, and it was a fantastic experience. Located just outside the charming town of Höfn, this campsite is ideal for exploring the Vatnajökull National Park and its stunning glaciers. The price was around 2000 ISK per night (about €13), which was a great deal considering the location. The campsite itself is well-equipped, with clean facilities, including showers and a cozy kitchen area. The views from the campsite are breathtaking, with the backdrop of the Vatnajökull glacier and the rugged Icelandic landscape. I enjoyed sitting by the campfire in the evening, taking in the serene surroundings. One of the highlights of staying at Camping Höfn was its proximity to the Glacier Lagoon (Jökulsárlón), which is about an hour's drive away. Watching the icebergs float by and taking a boat tour was an unforgettable experience. I also explored the nearby Diamond Beach, where ice chunks from the lagoon wash up on the black sand, creating a striking contrast. Camping Höfn offered a perfect blend of comfort and adventure, with incredible natural sights just a short drive away. Stayed in a beautiful hotel next to the Jokusarlon glacier in South Iceland. The hotel is a former farm converted into a hotel. The inside is very new and well designed. The rooms have raised roofs and feel very spacious. There is an outdoor pool and sauna. It is suitable for two people to relax. It is a 10-minute drive from Diamond Beach, so it is highly recommended to stay there.

The town of Hepburn in Iceland is also known as "Lobster Town". Lobster soup is a traditional local delicacy. The soup is extremely rich. The soup alone would be a bit too salty. #familytrips2024 Not too far away from Nailed it Fish and Chip is the Heimahumar "Local Langoustine" Truck. This truck is famous for their langoustine aka lobster soup. It cost 2100ISK but perfect on a rainy day or a weather this cold in Iceland. You can see pieces of lobsters in the soup itself and the soup is thick. Recommended to get this or try their lobster roll too.

#familytrips2024 Surprisingly this is the best fish and chip I have eaten in Iceland. Yes this is Nailed It Fish & Chips and it is sold by a movable food truck near the diamond beach! It was raining heavily and the fish and chip which has crispy batter and succulent fish sooth the heart. You can choose to add magic dust to enhance the taste of the fish and chip. I believe that is msg haha.

#familytrips2024 Viking cafe is located near the majestic Vestrahorn mountain but unfortunately the weather was super bad when we get there. We wanted to Vik Stokksnes which would cost 1800ISK to take the private road. But decided not to since the weather was bad anyways. The cafe does serve some food including waffles and coffee which you can grab while on your road trip.

In the southeastern part of Iceland, on the edge of the sea, there is a Vestrahorn mountain shaped like a bat. It has a history of 8 million years. When you drive to the end of the scenic spot, you can see the bat-like mountains far away from the back of the black sand beach. The waves are rolling in the sky. Where is the mirror of the sky? I tried climbing up and down, searching every corner of the beach, I couldn't find the mirror view of the legendary sky. When I drove away, I found a piece of mud on the side of the road. It turned out that this is the mirror of the legendary sky! !! Knock on the blackboard!! The mirror of the sky is not on the beach, but in the mud behind the grass.
