I love banh mi, and whenever I go to Vietnam, I try to eat it at least once at every meal. This time, I will introduce four of the best banh mi in Ho Chi Minh City, as selected by such a person! [1. Banh Mi Madam Win] A beautiful shop that is friendly to tourists. It seems to be a popular banh mi shop, and many delivery drivers visit. There are special and big, and I ordered the special bread. It was a little expensive compared to other places, at 70,000 VND. Vegetables are served separately. You put on gloves and put them in between the bread yourself. I'm glad that there are both carrots and radishes for the pickled vegetables. It is really filling, with several types of ham, pate, butter, etc. I managed to finish it by myself, but I was so full that I regretted it. I think it's more suitable for lunch than breakfast. The vegetables are fresh, there is plenty of meat, and the baguette is crispy on the outside and has a light texture. It is heavy overall because it is full of pate and butter. The banh mi arrived in about 20 minutes and was freshly made! It was large and the bread was warm. The vegetables include pickled radish, raw onion, coriander, cucumber, green onion, green chili pepper, etc., and you can put as much as you like. Even though it contains plenty of homemade butter sauce, pate, and ham, it is not heavy at all and is delicious enough to eat. If you eat it with plenty of vegetables, it will be even more refreshing thanks to the vegetables. The bread has a light texture, but the inside is a little fluffy, so it's well-balanced! The size was so big that I couldn't finish it all at once, but after a few hours, the ingredients and bread blended better and I enjoyed a different flavor. 📍 We took Grab to get there. You can pin the shop name on Google Maps. The shop is in an alley, you have to walk in. Grab can't deliver. But it's not far, about 100 meters. At the entrance of the alley, there are rice and curry shops. It's not hard to find. ☕️ When you come to Ho Chi Minh City, you can't miss trying the egg coffee. This shop is quite famous. They have breakfast, savory food, and coffee. I personally only tried the coffee. The egg coffee was a bit too rich after drinking a lot. I checked in at the landmark building in Ho Chi Minh. I stayed in the tallest hotel in Vietnam, Pearl Landmark 81, Autograph Collection. You can overlook the city of Ho Chi Minh from the hotel. The night view is even better at sunset. The hotel lobby is on the 48th floor. Executive privileges allow you to check in at the Club Lounge on the 71st floor. There are also all-day meals and drinks. The room I booked this time has a great view from the panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows on the 61st floor. The sky pool on the 47th floor is beautiful. You must experience it at sunset. The seafood buffet on the 66th floor Oriental Pearl is of great quality on weekends. You can also see the night view, which is very atmospheric. There is also a shopping mall downstairs in the hotel, which is also very convenient for shopping. Back in HCMC for the second time this year, I was ready for some serious unwinding. My date picked this hotel, and I wasn’t convinced at first—the photos looked a bit dated. But as soon as we stepped in after a relaxing massage, I was absolutely blown away. 
The Christmas decorations had just gone up, transforming the space into a cozy, magical wonderland. The room? It felt like I’d walked into a grand mansion—bright, spacious, and impeccably clean. The complimentary minibar was a nice touch, though we opted for drinks from the convenience store just behind the hotel. 
The bed was so soft and comfortable, it's almost impossible to get up in the morning. The room came with slippers, soap, shampoo, conditioner, hair dryer, body lotion, comb, toothbrush, bath salt, loofa and more! Soaking in the bath first thing in the morning and last thing at night is my favourite thing about this hotel. 
The only downside: the glass bathroom setup was a little awkward, especially since the toilet faces a window, and the TV was laggy with limited options to turn off Vietnamese translations. 
The pool was so cute and cosy but it closes quite early. There was also a steam room for a post-swim warm-up and a gym with everything from treadmills to free weights. 
The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, making the stay feel even more special. If you’re visiting HCMC, this hotel is a must-try!
