It is one of Japan's three most famous cherry blossom viewing spots, with around 2,600 cherry trees of 52 varieties, including weeping and double-flowered cherry trees, blooming in the vast park. The lifespan of Somei-Yoshino cherry trees is said to be 60 to 80 years, but there are over 400 trees here that are over 100 years old. Apparently, they are cared for using apple pruning techniques. Perhaps because of this, I thought the sense of volume of the cherry blossoms was the greatest I'd ever seen. My favorite thing about Hirosaki Park is the flower rafts in the castle moat, which can be seen 3 to 4 days after full bloom! Rather than a river, they look like a carpet of cherry petals. The ducks swimming leisurely on them are incredibly graceful. Another highlight is the Nakabori sightseeing boat, which operates during the cherry blossom season and allows visitors to enjoy cherry blossom viewing from the moat. I thought the combination of the red bridge leading to the main castle, the falling cherry petals, and the reflection was beautiful (fourth photo). Furthermore, walking through the large park, you can see the heart-shaped cherry blossoms, Hirosaki Castle Tower, the long cherry blossom tunnel, Mt. Art Hotel Hirosaki City is located in front of Hirosaki Station in Hirosaki City, Aomori Prefecture. The location is good and the rooms are nice, but I'd like to introduce the restaurant and bar. Breakfast is buffet style and there are many local dishes, so it's very satisfying. If you eat breakfast here, you can conquer the local cuisine. I recommend the soup, Keno-jiru, because it was really delicious. I prefer Japanese food, so I forgot to take pictures of the Western food, but there was plenty of bread, salad, and flakes. It wasn't crowded, so I was able to eat my meal at a leisurely pace. The walls inside the restaurant are also really cute. I also got the impression that there were more types of drinks than in a normal buffet. Of course, there was apple juice. I also recommend the bar on the same floor. As part of the travel support, I received a coupon at check-in that gave me a free cider with every glass I ordered, so I went there, and the apple at the entrance was cute! Art Hotel Hirosaki City is located in front of Hirosaki Station in Hirosaki City, Aomori Prefecture. I booked this time with JAL Pack, but even if I had booked normally, I think it was good to choose this hotel overall. The room type I stayed in was a Deluxe Hollywood Twin Room, which had a low table and chairs, and it was nice to have a relaxing space! The bathroom was spacious and the bathtub was clean. It was a shame that the exterior was dark because of construction work, but overall it was clean and comfortable to stay in. I was also happy that the free mineral water in the refrigerator was from the Shirakami Mountains. This water is incredibly delicious, so please try it. Unknown location 🤭🤭!! Somewhere two hours local bus ride from hirosaki train station . I was sitting in cafe before go back to hotel , one of Japanese aunty ask me for spare seat in my table and start to have body language and some google translate conversation. Then she told me that , she want to go and see this place for beautiful Sakura lane . I ask her , how far , she said almost to the mountain base 😆😆 and she dare not to go alone . Then I agreed to accompany her to go !! There you are!! Those beautiful cherry trees line up and sooo beautiful near to mount Iwaki ( so called look a like Mount Fuji ) . And we waited two hours for the bus at Hirosaki bus stop No.6 and two hours each journey , to and fro enjoy the bus ride and feel those beautiful Sakura . But the bus ride was enjoyable as well and we can see mount Iwaki all the way . End up , I don’t regret going there and such a beautiful cherry lane at all !! I came to an apple pie shop in Hirosaki City, Aomori Prefecture. Hirosaki Castle was in full bloom during the cherry blossom festival. I wanted to eat some apple pie on the way home, so I stopped by a cafe.
