Hotel with sauna in Hiratsuka 3S HOTEL HIRATSUKA
3S HOTEL HIRATSUKA
24-9 Akashicho, Hiratsuka, Kanagawa
TEL 0460-20-2233
Hiratsuka is 35 minutes away from Yokohama Station on the JR Tokaido Line.
It is famous for its Tanabata Festival, and is one of the relay points for the Hakone Ekiden. Chigasaki City, famous for Southern All Stars, is also next door.
This hotel is about a 6-minute walk from Hiratsuka Station. The hotel is located in an arcade street, and there are many restaurants and cafes around the hotel, making it a convenient location.
The hotel's selling point is its sauna. It is only for men, but guests can use it for free. You can't go outside, but there is an open-air bathing area, so it's really relaxing.
The hotel itself seems to have many single rooms, so I think it's suitable for men on a weekend solo trip.

First Sunrise Viewing of the year
The Shonan Daira (Komayoma Park) Observation Deck is one of the most popular park located in Hiratsuka, Kanagawa Prefecture. With an altitude of approximately 180 meters above sea level. This park has been selected as one of the best 100 night views for its impressive and spectacular view during the night.
On a clear sunny day, you can see the sea of Shonan (the city of Hiratsuka), the grandiose Tokyo Sky Tree, the magnificent view of Mt. Fuji and other nearby mountains.
Additionally, this park is one of the best place to visit during the New Year’s first sunrise viewing (hatsu-hinonde) a traditional New Year’s customs in Japan. It is also a good place for hiking, to have a picnic or to unwind.

Hiratsuka Beach Park!!
From the Hiratsuka Station South Exit Bus Stop No. 21, take the Hiratsuka Station South Exit Circular Line (Hira 15/16) and get off at the Shonan Kaigan Koen-mae bus stop.
Hiratsuka Beach is known for one of the Eight Views of Hiratsuka, the 'Sunset over the Hiratsuka Dunes,' and in May, the beach is adorned with blooming beach morning glories.
You can also capture a photo of Mount Fuji with the TV tower of Shonan Daira, one of Hiratsuka's symbolic landmarks, in the background. This spot offers a perfect view of both the sea and Mount Fuji in one frame. Additionally, the dunes and the waves at dusk display a variety of beautiful colors throughout the year.

I went to Hiratsuka, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan!
Location: New Rose
The number of seats is unknown, but the curry rice is good value for money.
Don't forget to take photos inside the cute pink walls!
We recommend the delicious and spicy authentic curry and the cute pink walls of the restaurant.
Description: New Rose is a popular local cafe, and its curry rice is especially popular.
It's a restaurant on the western edge of Hiratsuka that advertises itself as modern Japanese curry!
It was surprisingly voluminous, but the oil wasn't too heavy, so I was able to finish it all.
The restaurant was clean and the shape of the rice was beautiful, so it was fun to look at and delicious!
It may get crowded depending on the time you go!!
Credit card payments are not accepted.

~Hiratsuka, Kanagawa Prefecture~ Minemoto Hiratsuka Store
☑️The main store is a long-established restaurant located on Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Street in Kamakura.
☑️The interior atmosphere is also very nice, and we had the seasonal menu of mushroom soba and mushroom seiro.
☑️In addition to soba, there is a wide selection of alcohol, snacks, and desserts, so it is a recommended spot for adult dates.
☑️Recommended for Japanese food lovers!
Also for Shonan gourmet!

Kanagawa, Hiratsuka. Shonan Cookie Outlet, where you can buy Shonan Cookies, which are sold only in the Shonan area, 24 hours a day.
Shonan Cookies are only sold in the Shonan area, but this is the Shonan Cookie Outlet, a factory-direct store with a line of vending machines selling sweets 24 hours a day.
The vending machines and products are lined up, from small packs that cost less than 100 yen to large packs.
The main product is cookies, but they also have rice crackers!
This time I purchased a pack of four "White Sand Beach" (100 yen) and a pack of six "Jako Kawara" (170 yen).
The White Sand Beach is a gentle cookie.
The Jako Kawara is an unusual cookie with lots of small fish seasoned with mirin scattered all over it.

Kana Garden
#2024wish
A botanical garden located in a peaceful area surrounded by rice fields, a 20-minute bus ride from Hiratsuka Station.
Even if the flowers you're looking for are out of season, each season has a different time of year to see different plants, and as you take a leisurely walk from one end of the spacious grounds to the other, you'll discover unexpected plants growing in unexpected places. I think you can have some fun doing that...
Goods shops and cafes are also recommended.
In 2024, I want to visit this again.
Kaname Water Park
#2024wish
This is a nature park featuring plenty of water, including streams and ponds. From plants to insects, you’ll be able to observe various types of wildlife, including the genjibotaru (a species of Japanese firefly). Firefly viewing is from May through the beginning of June. Visitors are asked to be careful of bringing too much light from things like flashlights. Small but worth a visit park.
In 2024, I want to visit this place again.
The pink house in Hiratsuka
#2024wish
It is located in the park next to Hiratsuka Hachimangu Shrine and is familiar with the nickname “Western-style building of Hachiman-yama”. Originally it was said that in the Meiji period around 1907, the manufacturing of Nippon Powder was beginning production by the Japanese Navy, the Japanese Navy and the English Nobel Company and other plants were jointly established for this, and the present Western-style building was said to be used as an office and a residence of a British manager.
In 2024, I want to visit this place again.
Hiratsuka Museum of Art
#2024wish
About an hour from Tokyo on the train, Hiratsuka lies firmly in commuter-belt territory, a medium-sized town with standard amenities present and correct. I was there one day to see a soccer game at local club Shonan Bellmare, and with some time to spare before kick-off, I decided to visit the nearby Hiratsuka Museum of Art.
In 2024, I want to travel to this place again.
Hiratsuka Hachimangu Shrine
#2024wish
I have read from other reviewers that maybe it's considered small, but to me, it has a lot of character. I was visiting the shrine on December 31, during the day, and it was a bright beautiful sunny day. Pretty much a five to ten minute walk north from Hiratsuka Station. My friend wanted to come here to pay respect and to pray. Upon entering, there are two ponds on either side of the entrance, with Koi fish and ducks. The layout of the shrine area was really nice and the grounds were beautiful.
In 2024, I want to visit this place.
Kanagawa Public Kana Garden
#2024wish
The vast Kana Garden is one of the best photo spots in the Kanto region offering a magnificent view of Mt. Fuji.
As well as admiring cherry blossom and roses, you can harvest seasonal vegetables. In the spring there are over 50 varieties of cherry blossom. The rose garden is one of the largest in the Kanto region, and is famous for its spring and autumn roses, with around 1,300 varieties of wild and cultivated roses. The garden’s "Rose Trail" allows you to follow the history of rose breeding by strain and classification. A must-visit if you love flowers!
In 2024, I want to come here again.
Hiratsuka City Park
#2024wish
This is a wide park in Hiratsuka. You can have a picnic with your family and friends. There is a small petting zoo within the park as well, I cannot remember how much it cost but it was very cheap. If you are visiting, its best to catch the train, as parking can be a nightmare. Overall a good day for the family!
In 2024, I want to come back here again with my friends.
Komayama Park
#2024wish
Shonandaira (Komayama Park) is located at an altitude of about 180m, you can see the sea of Shonan, the city of Hiratsuka, Mt. Fuji and sunset. Notably the 360-degree panoramic view from the top of the rest house observation tower is superb. On a sunny day, you can see Enoshima, Miura Peninsula, Boso Peninsula and Oshima off the coast.
In 2024, I want to visit this place again.
Hiratsuka General Park
The Hiratsuka General Park is one of the popular destinations in Hiratsuka. A lot of tourists and locals gather here on holidays. There are various sport and recreation facilities here -- a red roof playground, a roller coaster, a climbing tree, a petting zoo, and a Japanese garden. There are more than 100,000 trees of 230 kinds grown inside the park, too!
The park is also home to the J-League professional football team, the Eastern League professional baseball team and the B-League professional basketball team. Enjoy your holidays here!

[Kanagawa Prefecture/Hiratsuka City] Restaurant at Hiratsuka Fishing Port
Kanagawa Prefecture/Hiratsuka City
Hiratsuka Fishing Port Restaurant
A popular restaurant with a line✨
I went to a restaurant where you can eat fresh fish at Hiratsuka Fishing Port🐟
I arrived at the restaurant around 12 o'clock and was told that I would have to wait about 30 minutes, so I just wandered along the sea🌊 You can make a reservation in advance, so it's probably best to make a reservation🙆♀️
There are so many menus that it's hard to choose, and I had a satisfying set meal that uses fresh fish caught that day and allows you to enjoy all the cooking methods at once: sashimi, boiled, grilled, fried, and salad🥹🩷
●Luxurious local fish set meal 1980 yen
●Hiratsuka Fishing Port set meal 2180 yen
All the fish are different types, and the recommended menu is the fish caught that day🥹
Full of volume! It was delicious 😋🧡

The Shonan Tanabata Summer Festival, Hiratsuka
#summerfest
Tanabata Festival (七夕)is one of the festival based on the folklore of the love story of a celestial maiden and a commoner shepherd, where they were only allowed to meet on this particular day during the year. The Tanabata Festival in Hiratsuka is the biggest within the region and you will see colourful lanterns hanging around the streets, dancers performing and street vendors selling street food. Typically many shops will also hang the bamboo trees as a sign of good fortune. People from all around the area even those from Tokyo will also travel down to join the fun and the atmosphere. Of course, this is also a good opportunity to invite your love ones as a dating event.
Enjoying Hiratsuka's soul food, tanmen
Lao Xiang Main Store (Lao Shan)

17-23 Beniya-cho, Hiratsuka, Kanagawa
Business hours 11:30-22:00
Closed on Mondays
Hiratsuka is a city 35 minutes from Yokohama on the Tokaido Line. It is one of the relay points for the Hakone Ekiden and is famous for its Tanabata Festival.
Have you heard of Hiratsuka's soul food, "Tanmen"? Hiratsuka's Tanmen is different from Yokohama's, with a clear soup, white noodles (like hiyamuki noodles), and a simple seasoning with plenty of wakame seaweed. The noodles had a refreshing taste and you could eat as many bowls as you wanted.
The restaurant only serves Tanmen and gyoza. It is run by an elderly couple and has a warm atmosphere.

At Hiratsuka Museum of Art
I went to Kudo's exhibition!
I was mesmerized by the beautiful colors!!
*Photography is allowed!
Its better to have a tasteful bud tour when you are in good spring.
Japanese cuisine pays attention to the atmosphere and the beauty of the color, and you only need to bring a good mood, meet three or five friends, come to a date. When shochu meets Calpis, it is strong and fresh.
,tempura, fresh and tender fish, refined and elegant.
, presented in front of you in turn, at this moment, who do you want to share with?
