The water of the waterfall spirals from top to bottom, like an elegant dancer dancing. 💧 Approaching the mist, we can see the waterfall is surrounded by greenery and leafy trees surrounding the "dancer". Hiratsuka Hachimangu Shrine can be seen by going straight down Festa Road from JR Hiratsuka Station. The grounds are surrounded by quiet greenery. There are carp in the pond. The fortune slip that caught my eye was the "Shinba Mizumikuji" (Divine Horse Water Fortune Slip). When you dip the slip in water, the letters will appear on the paper. There is also an explanation of passing through a straw ring. There is also a vending machine for Shonan Cookies near the parking lot. When I looked into it, I learned that the naming rights had been exercised since 2010, and the right to name the bridge had been exercised. In 2010, it became four lanes up and down, which reduced traffic congestion, but I remember that when it was two lanes, Route 134 was one of the congestion points. The view stretching from the river mouth to the sea is outstanding. In 1991, it was selected as one of Kanagawa's top 100 bridges.

I was visiting the shrine on December 31, during the day, and it was a bright beautiful sunny day. Pretty much a five to ten minute walk north from Hiratsuka Station. My friend wanted to come here to pay respect and to pray. Upon entering, there are two ponds on either side of the entrance, with Koi fish and ducks. The layout of the shrine area was really nice and the grounds were beautiful. In 2024, I want to visit this place.

The rose garden is one of the largest in the Kanto region, and is famous for its spring and autumn roses, with around 1,300 varieties of wild and cultivated roses. The garden’s "Rose Trail" allows you to follow the history of rose breeding by strain and classification. A must-visit if you love flowers! In 2024, I want to come here again.
