Barun Temple | Encounter the loneliest grassland temple in Bayanbulak.
| Encounter the loneliest grassland temple in Bayanbulak. Barun Temple | Encounter the loneliest grassland temple in Bayanbulak
People who go to Bayanbulak
Either to see the swans 🦢
Or to see the nine suns of the Nine Bends 🌞
Few people get off at the second stop, "Barun Temple"
For a temple lover like me
How can I pass by a temple without going in
It happened to be cloudy that day ☁️
The shuttle bus dropped us off and left without looking back
I passed the grasslands on both sides in the cold wind
No time to look back at the snow-capped mountains 🏔️
I hurried along the road and stepped on the broken stone slabs
The temple has no courtyard walls
Only a small hall
The smell of butter lamps fills the air
The hall is dim
Making it hard to see the face of the only monk
The introduction says
There was not even a hall here
It was the faith of the local nomads
They worshiped wherever they went
Some say
There used to be a small town here
All demolished except for this temple
It used to be homeless
But someone would build it even with just a few bricks
It no longer needs to wander
But stands lonely on this grassland
Encounter the Purest Nature by the Swan Lake on the Prairie—The Vastness and Tranquility of Bayinbuluke
Bayinbuluke Scenic Area is a hidden paradise in Xinjiang, featuring boundless grasslands and a fairy-tale-like Swan Lake. Stepping onto this land feels like entering a pure natural world, far away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
The first sight of Bayinbuluke leaves one deeply impressed by its vast grasslands. The endless green fields stretch out as far as the eye can see, surrounded by continuous snow-capped mountains that meet the blue sky and white clouds, creating a dreamlike landscape. The air here is fresh, and the gentle breeze carries the fragrance of flowers and grass, instantly making one feel incredibly refreshed.
Swan Lake is the essence of the scenic area. The tranquil lake surface reflects the azure sky and white clouds, and occasionally, flocks of swans can be seen gracefully resting and playing in the lake, resembling a lively painting. The swans by the lake and the serene waters complement each other, adding vitality and spirit to the prairie.
At dusk, the "Nine Bends and Eighteen Turns" of Bayinbuluke are breathtakingly beautiful. Under the sunset, the winding river glistens with golden light, resembling ribbons between heaven and earth. With the changing light and shadows, the scenery layers and unfolds, full of rhythm and variation. Standing on the high observation deck, gazing at this magnificent view, it feels as if time stands still.
The beauty of Bayinbuluke Scenic Area lies not only in its grandeur and vastness but also in its tranquility and purity. There is no urban noise here, only the sounds of nature and the harmony of life. For those seeking inner peace and a love for nature, this is undoubtedly an ideal vacation destination, allowing you to fully enjoy the tranquility and expansiveness of the prairie under the blue sky and experience the harmonious coexistence of humans and nature.

*Bayinbuluke Grassland, Narat Grassland, Hulunbuir Grassland, and Pampas Grassland are known as the world's four major grasslands. Except for the last one in South America, the other three are all in China. Both Bayinbuluke Grassland and Narat Grassland are in Xinjiang and are not far apart, with a journey of just over an hour by car between the two grasslands.
*Bayinbuluke Grassland is very large, and the main attractions are located deep in the grassland, very far from the gate, about 45 kilometers, so you must buy a ticket and take the scenic area's shuttle bus to visit, private cars are not allowed. After entering the gate, you must first go through strict security checks, go to the visitor center to buy tickets, and then queue up to take the scenic area's shuttle bus.
*The shuttle bus will stop at three stations on the way: Swan Lake, Barun Kure Temple, and Basirik Observation Deck.
*The ancient Kaidu River slowly comes from the horizon, this is the "Nine Bends and Eighteen Turns" that "this scene should only be in the sky, how many times can it appear in the world". When the setting sun shines thousands of rays of light on the grassland from the clouds, the sunset is golden, and the winding Kaidu River will reflect the nine suns shot down by Houyi. Unfortunately, with the change of seasons, the change of the sunset, this grand occasion can only be witnessed in summer!
*Whenever the sunset is twilight, the amount of river water, the angle of light, and the shooting time are all at the best time. Standing on the observation deck, you can see 9 suns at the same time, which is a wonder in the world. Especially around 7-9 pm before and after the Mid-Autumn Festival, it is easier to see the spectacle of 9 suns.
*The best viewing time is before and after the Mid-Autumn Festival each year. Every year from June to September is the best season to shoot swans. Tens of thousands of swans come to Swan Lake to inhabit and reproduce, and stay here for as long as 8 months.

Bayinbuluke has no 'eternal soil,' but it has endless greenery
Bayinbuluke, this place name became well-known because of the movie 'Pegasus.' In fact, the filming location of the movie was in the Anjihai Grand Canyon, while the real Bayinbuluke is the second largest grassland in China, second only to Hulunbuir.
Bayinbuluke Grassland is located in Hejing County, Bayingolin Mongol Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. It is a large meadow grassland in the central part of the Tianshan Mountains. The terrain here is flat, with an altitude of 1500-2500 meters, a mild climate, and water sources mainly replenished by surrounding mountain meltwater rivers.
Thanks to its isolated basin terrain, suitable climate conditions, and minimal human activity impact, Bayinbuluke Grassland has preserved many rare species of flora and fauna in the world, making it an ideal habitat for swans.
Transportation:
Located deep in the Tianshan Mountains, it can be reached by driving along the southern section of the Duku Highway. After arriving at the visitor center of the scenic area, you must take the scenic area bus to enter the grassland, as private cars are not allowed inside.
Accommodation and Dining:
Both can be resolved in Bayinbuluke Town, Hejing County. There are many accommodations and dining options locally, and the visitor center is generally within walking distance.
Travel Tips:
The scenic area is very large, and you must take the bus, which stops at three stations. The first stop is Swan Lake, where you can get off to see the swans and then queue up to continue the journey. Be sure to take your personal belongings with you and not leave them on the bus, as you might not take the same bus again. The second stop is a temple, which is a small attraction. The bus stops briefly, and it is not recommended to get off unless necessary, as you will have to wait for the next bus with available seats, which can sometimes delay your trip. The third stop is the final stop. After getting off, follow the path up to the viewing platform. The distance is short, so it is not recommended to ride a horse or take a small shuttle bus. Riding a horse is expensive, and the shuttle bus does not offer good views. Walking up is easy, with a gentle slope and a short distance.
Regarding the best time to visit, it is recommended to depart from Nalati in the morning, have lunch and check-in at the town at noon, and visit the scenic area in the afternoon. The reasons are as follows:
1. It is cold in the morning, with high humidity. After the sun comes out, the fog lingers and may even rain, while the afternoon is mostly sunny.
2. Visiting in the afternoon allows you to see the sunset, and with the reflection of the river bends, you can see the 'nine suns.'
Precautions:
1. Be sure to physically prevent mosquitoes as much as possible! Various mosquito repellents are generally not very effective. Long sleeves and pants are more reliable.
2. You can find horse farms along the way before driving into the town. Going in the morning means fewer people, larger horse farms, and after a simple lesson from the herders, you can ride freely for a long time.
In Bayinbuluke, choosing the right hotel is really amazing!!
When self-driving in Xinjiang, choosing the right hotel really makes everything easier!
So what is a good hotel? I think the most important thing is to stay inside the scenic area. For example, in the Bayinbuluke Scenic Area, we chose the Hejing Bayinbuluke Jangar Legend Camp, and it turned out to be an excellent choice! Here are the main reasons, and you'll understand once you see them.
1. Bayinbuluke no longer allows self-driving cars to enter, especially off-road vehicles. You can only take the bus to enter the scenic area. The bus has three stops inside the scenic area, and you need to get off and explore in sequence, then wait for the bus to pick you up again. This is very tiring and inconvenient for us. We contacted a hotel inside the scenic area, and they told us that if we checked in, a van with more than seven seats could enter, but off-road vehicles were strictly prohibited. However, the manager provided another solution: the manager personally drove to pick us up from the entrance of the scenic area and then took us around the scenic spots in a small car. The small car was comfortable and convenient, and the manager's humorous commentary made the time pass pleasantly. At the stops, the manager parked the car as close as possible, and at the second stop, he even drove directly in, saving us a lot of walking. We could go directly to the attractions and move on to the next stop without waiting for the bus or other people.
2. The hotel is near the third bus stop, 'Nine Bends and Eighteen Turns.' After watching the 'Nine Suns' sunset, while most tourists were waiting at the bus gathering point, we strolled back to the hotel to rest.
3. The hotel service is excellent, offering free afternoon tea and travel photography, creating a great atmosphere. In the evening, they organized a lively bonfire party where everyone sang and danced around the fire, spending a wonderful night. The hotel's restaurant also served good food, and we had both dinner and breakfast there without any disappointments.
4. The weather in the grassland wetland is unpredictable. We had great weather on the day we checked in and successfully saw the 'Nine Suns' at night, but it rained that night and didn't stop the next day. As a result, the Bayinbuluke Scenic Area was closed, ticket sales were halted, and even the buses couldn't come up. We stayed on the grassland, enjoyed the unique rainy scenery, and then the manager drove us and our luggage out, which was very convenient.
Bazhou|Wow, I just want to praise the sunset at Bayinbuluke
🎉When the wilderness meets the sunset
The sunlight pierces through the thin clouds
The light over the grassland is like golden brocade
Neither glaringly bright
Nor dimly yellow
It is warm, deep, and gentle
Covering every inch of grass tip
The entire wilderness and the golden mountains shine together
Peaceful and magnificent

The pinnacle of Xinjiang's scenic beauty rankings, Bayinbuluke is a must-visit
Every time I see posts online saying "Avoid Bayinbuluke," "Don't go to Bayinbuluke if your schedule is tight," or "You'll regret going or not going to Bayinbuluke," I feel very regretful because the Bayin we visited was truly beautiful 😍. In our Xinjiang trip's scenic beauty rankings, it was either first or second ❤️.
Bayinbuluke translates to "abundant springs," and indeed, the water and grass here are lush. You can also see many of Bayin's characteristic "black-headed sheep," which is quite spectacular.
There are many large hotels at the entrance of the scenic area, which are cheap and have new facilities, so accommodation is very convenient. Here's the correct way to explore Bayinbuluke Scenic Area ⬇️.
1️⃣ Hotels 🏨: Book your Bayin hotel in advance. Whether you arrive early or return late, you can rest directly at the hotel. Just choose a location at the entrance of the scenic area!
2️⃣ Time 🕑: Be sure to enter the park around 6 PM. This way, the sun won't be too hot, and the beauty of Bayin is definitely in the evening!
⭐️ Enter the park at 6 PM, take the shuttle bus for about an hour, and arrive at the first stop, "Swan Lake," around 7 PM. We didn't see any swans 🦢 but saw a large flock of "red-billed gulls" flying low, which was also very beautiful. You can bring your own "naan 🫓" to feed them. There are also vendors selling bread nearby, 10 yuan for 4 pieces! It's more cost-effective if you don't bring your own naan 😂. Bayin is a paradise for migratory birds, with 131 species breeding and wintering here.
⭐️ Around 7:30 PM, take the shuttle bus for about 15 minutes to reach the second stop, "Lama Temple." It is one of the seven mobile temples brought by the Torghut tribe during their eastward return and the only one still in existence! Nomads can move their pastures, but their faith must leave a mark ❤️. Many online guides say the second stop is not worth seeing, just a broken temple 🫢. Really speechless... The Lama Temple closes at night, so be sure to check the time!
⭐️ Around 8:30 PM, arrive at the "Nine Bends and Eighteen Turns" viewing platform. Here, not only are there 9 suns, but the scenery on the left side of the viewing platform can be "divine." It's really beautiful—the winding river bends, grasslands, Tianshan snow mountains, and sunset... It's truly worthy of being China's second-largest grassland ✔️.
⭐️ Around 9:30 PM, after enjoying the scenery at the viewing platform, go to the "Nine Suns in a Row" spot to wait for the sunset. When we went, there were two circles of people, which should be the normal number. Everyone was waiting. From this moment on, as the sun sets, the scenery changes every moment. On that day, there was a large cloud pressing down on the sunset, but no one gave up. We kept waiting, and finally, the sun briefly appeared through the cloud gap for about 5 minutes. Everyone around was exclaiming how beautiful it was 😍. It was worth it.
⭐️ Around 10:30 PM, after watching the sunset, quickly leave. By the time we got back to the hotel, it was almost midnight. Fortunately, the hotel is right at the entrance of the scenic area, so we could wash up and go to sleep immediately 💤.
⚠️ To see the "Nine Suns in a Row," you need to check the weather‼️ If it's cloudy, don't wait. Everyone complains about the long shuttle bus rides in Bayin, and it's true! We spent about 3 hours on the shuttle bus back and forth... My thought is, how can you see the beautiful scenery without going deep into the mountains 😂. To comfort myself, we even saw a rainbow 🌈 on the shuttle bus ride.
Let's go to Northern Xinjiang to see the vast grasslands this summer~
Every frame of Northern Xinjiang in July is like a fairy tale. Snow-capped mountains🏔️, forests🌳, meadows🌱, lakes, and cattle and sheep slowly returning home in the evening can be seen everywhere~ Every blade of grass and every tree is incredibly desirable~ Let's go see the Nalati Grassland and Bayinbuluke Grassland in the summer.
🌱
Bayinbuluke Grassland
Coming here feels like stepping into a Hayao Miyazaki manga world, with grasslands, swans🦢, waterfowl, peaks⛰️, rivers, and other beautiful scenes unfolding before your eyes. Bayinbuluke Grassland is one of the largest grasslands in Xinjiang and the second largest in China. The vast grasslands are dotted with herds of cattle and sheep and the yurts of herdsmen.
🌱
Nalati Grassland
Before going to Nalati Grassland, I thought it was just an ordinary pasture. But after seeing it for real, I realized it is truly vast, with endless green🌿, rolling peaks, and wildflowers💐 hidden in the grass... It's really healing~ When you come here, be sure to take the shuttle bus to visit different small scenic spots.
🌱
Travel Tips
1⃣️ Nalati is very large, and there are 5⃣️ shuttle bus routes to choose from. If time is limited, I personally suggest visiting a few interesting spots.
2⃣️ If you want to drive yourself in Nalati, remember to book a spot in advance, as there are only 300 spots available each day.
3⃣️ The UV rays in Xinjiang are strong, so remember to take sun protection measures. Also, there are many mosquitoes🦟 on the grasslands, so you might want to bring some mosquito repellent.
Xinjiang Bayinbuluke Grassland · A Vast Beauty
In summer, Bayinbuluke Grassland welcomes its most beautiful scenery, with a world full of flowers and green grass, and wildflowers adorning the boundless grassland, making it incredibly beautiful.
🌿
About Travel
Nine Bends and Eighteen Turns: This is also the filming location of the movie 🎬 "Pegasus 2." The Kaidu River winds and twists, and if you are lucky, you can witness the magical sight of "9 suns" at sunset.
·
Swan Lake: Every year from June to September, swans 🦢 come here to breed and rest. This period is a great time to watch wild swans. This area is a large marshland composed of multiple lakes of varying sizes, so bird 🦜 resources are also very abundant.
·
Bayinbuluke Grassland: A place full of poetry and wildness. Its vastness and magnificence are indescribable in words. It is an excellent place to experience the charm of the grassland, with an endless expanse of grassland.
🌿

Bayin Buluke Grassland
Bayanbulak Grassland is the second largest grassland in China, a typical meadow steppe dotted with cattle and sheep. The Bayanbulak Grassland also features the Swan Lake, which resembles a pearl on the grassland. Sitting at an altitude of 2,000 to 2,500 meters, the Swan Lake on the reserve is an important breeding ground for birds and teals, and it is the only swan's habitat in China. The vast majority of swans and other rare birds would return to the lake, a connected series of wetlands, from the south to live and breed here for eight months from April each year.
There is also an observation platform where you can see the Kaidu River winding through the grassland under the sunshine. This place truly has a charming landscape.

Bayinbuluke Grassland
Bayinbuluke Grassland is located in Hejing County of Bayingolin Mongol Autonomous Prefecture, situated at the southern foot of the Tianshan Mountains, and is one of the largest grasslands in Xinjiang. It is a place that blends natural scenery, historical culture, and ethnic customs, and is known as the 'Pearl of the Tianshan Mountains'. Famous attractions include the Nine-Turn Eighteen-Bend and Swan Lake, which is the largest wild swan breeding and habitat in China, and is worth visiting.
Why go to Bayinbuluke when you can visit the Tianshan Stone Forest, a lesser-known secret paradise akin to the world of Zelda?
Next to Bayinbuluke, there is a hidden gem that 99% of people have never visited—the Tianshan Stone Forest.
Only then did we realize that the wilderness of Zelda is not just a figment of imagination; there truly exists such a secret paradise on earth.
On the 70km road to the scenic area, one can witness the changing hues of the grasslands, with the grass becoming greener and more lush. Herds of cattle and sheep graze on the verdant mountainsides. Occasionally, you might spot a marmot peeking out or basking in the sun on the grassland. Finally, reaching the deepest part of the scenic area, the rocks are sculpted by the wind into a myriad of shapes. If you have time, you can set up a tent here and enjoy a leisurely afternoon tea. You might even, like us, encounter local herdsmen and join them for tea and melon.
🎟️ Ticket information: Free
📍 Location: Tianshan Stone Forest, Hejing County, Xinjiang. Navigate to 'Tianshan Stone Forest', and there is only one road inside the scenic area.
💗 Important notes: After entering the main gate of the scenic area, there is a 70km gravel road that requires self-driving. Also, there are no gas stations, restrooms, shops, or other facilities within the scenic area, so it is recommended to prepare in advance. Important reminder‼️ There is signal 📶 only in the village within the scenic area; there is no signal throughout the rest of the area!!
Xinjiang
Bayanbulak.
Bayanbulak, a 5A scenic spot in the making!!! You can visit, but don't come just for the 'Nine Suns' or the filming location of 'The Racing Life'. On June 15th, only three attractions were open in the scenic area, claiming that the roads were not yet repaired. I heard a young lady asking where the filming location of 'The Racing Life' was, and it seems like a wasted trip if you can't see it. At the tourist center, you buy tickets; an adult ticket for the entrance and scenic shuttle bus costs 96 yuan. After boarding the bus, it takes an hour driving through a small town before you reach the first attraction, which is indeed the second largest grassland in China.
‼️ The first stop is Swan Paradise, with less than ten swans and a large number of red-billed gulls (probably), one of which pooped on my pants. The birds and swans here will eat naan bread, and I saw tourists breaking it up to feed them. The swans linger under the bridge, apparently used to being fed.
‼️ The second stop is Barun Temple, the last mobile temple on the grassland. It is said to have been built during the Qing Dynasty, but it was actually built later and no longer moves.
‼️ The last stop is the Nine Bends and Eighteen Turns. It's the end of the bus route, and you need to walk three kilometers or take an electric cart, which costs 18 yuan for a round trip.
❗️ Near the final stop, there's a circular dome hall that I thought would be an exhibition about grassland culture, but it turns out to be about Mongolian milk tea, with some old utensils displayed. There's a large service counter with nothing on it yet. Another place called 'Return to the East' is not yet finished, with plans for a supermarket and restaurant, but currently, only a milk tea shop is open, with other empty stalls. In the electric cart ticket hall, you can only queue up to buy paper tickets, and besides the ticket window, there are many fast-food stalls.
❗️ Nine Bends and Eighteen Turns: I entered the scenic area at four in the afternoon, and the light was against me at the Eighteen Bends, making the photos look bad, with the grass appearing very dark (15pm vivid 2x zoom). When it's cloudy and overcast, you can forget about seeing the sunset. On the other hand, the view on the other side of the boardwalk is quite beautiful, with hills scattered about, adding a unique charm to the wetland grassland. Especially on cloudy and rainy days, the distant clouds and mist add layers to the view, making it the only scenery worth the money. I say 'only' because the two-hour round trip on the scenic bus is marred by very dirty windows, which greatly diminishes the enjoyment of the scenery along the way. This is a common problem in other scenic areas as well, and I suggest that buses in scenic areas with rides longer than half an hour should clean their windows.
‼️ Scenic area temperature: Today was buffed with clouds, showers, light rain, and strong winds, super cold. I was shivering in a short-sleeved shirt, down vest, and jacket, and had to put on my dad's ultra-light down jacket to avoid being chilled through. It might be warmer in July and August, and I didn't see any mosquitoes today, so the mosquito repellent and incense were unnecessary.
‼️ Town accommodation: Compared to other places, it's not cheap and the conditions are average. I heard that this town only operates when the Duku Highway is open, and it becomes a dead city when the road is closed. This explains the level of consumption in Bayanbulak during the tourist season; they don't open for business all year, but when they do, they make enough for the year.
‼️ Advantages of the scenic area: Good signal throughout, and no shortage of buses.
‼️ Conclusion: It's worth visiting to appreciate the unique beauty of the wetland grassland, but don't set your expectations too high. It's not too late to wait until the scenic area is fully developed before visiting.
The Legend of Zelda by the Duku Highway
When going to the Duku Highway, I accidentally stepped into an unknown 'Zelda in real life'! The Tianshan Stone Forest, a niche secret spot that probably 98% of the locals in Xinjiang don't know about, is right next to Bayinbuluke
The moment I set foot on it, I was surrounded by the rich wilderness atmosphere, as if the land of Hyrule from the game came to life before my eyes🏞
📍Location: Tianshan Stone Forest, Hejing County, Bazhou, Xinjiang
🎟Ticket: Free
⌚️Time: Open all day, the light is most beautiful in the morning, but it takes about 3 hours to drive in from the entrance, so remember to reserve enough time
🚐Transportation: Only accessible by self-driving, there is only one road in, it is recommended to drive an SUV or four-wheel drive for stability. Also, don't forget to fill up the gas tank beforehand, as there are no gas stations here!
Shooting Locations
🏠Cabin: Entering the grassland section, you will see an idle wooden house, which is a good spot for shooting
🌱Vast Grassland: Behind the wooden house on the hillside, there is a grassland with a wide view, very suitable for photography
Grassland Track Road: Along the way to the plank road entrance, the track road adds a different charm
🏔Snow Mountain: The stone forest and the Tianshan mountain range are in the same frame, and the effect of aerial photography with a drone is yyds
Mountain Road: The downhill road before entering the village, winding and meandering, is a bit like the Panlong Ancient Path
⚠️Tips:
1️⃣There is almost no signal, only a little mobile signal, but it is intermittent. However, in the village at the foot of the mountain, 4G is full, so don't worry about losing contact
2️⃣There are no shops here, so be sure to bring enough drinking water and self-heating food
3️⃣The temperature difference between day and night is big, remember to wear a three-in-one jacket or other warm clothing
4️⃣For accommodation, you can choose the yurts at the foot of the mountain to experience the grassland style
The village is sparsely populated, mostly Mongolian herders who do not speak Mandarin well, but please respect each other and communicate friendly
5️⃣Respect nature, do not drive over the grassland outside the pastoral road, and take your own trash with you!
I had the fortune to witness nine suns | Bayanbulak
Nine meandering sunsets
are the unique romance bestowed upon Xinjiang's Bayanbulak by the sky
Bayanbulak is a transliteration from Mongolian, meaning 'abundant springs'
Expansive grasslands, the winding Kaidu River, soaring eagles, and the languid animals of the grassland
📍Detailed address:
Located opposite the Tu'erhute Ethnic Folk Culture Village on National Highway 217 in Hejing County, Bayingolin Mongolian Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region

2 Barun Temple
A Tibetan Buddhism Gelug monastery, a pilgrimage site deep in the grasslands
3 Nine Curves Eighteen Bends
This description is no exaggeration, the Kaidu River meanders across the grassland, the water is clear and bright, and if lucky, you can witness the spectacle of nine suns at sunset, a filming location for the movie 'Pegasus'
4 Nadam Fair
Every year from the fourth to the sixth day of the sixth lunar month, you can attend the annual grassland festival 'Nadam Fair' in Bayanbulak, where you can watch traditional performances such as horse racing, wrestling, sheep racing, yak racing, ethnic costumes, and ethnic songs and dances
📝Note tips:
1. May to September is the best time to visit, other times can be quite cold
2. To protect the birds, flying drones is prohibited in the scenic area
3. There is a large temperature difference between day and night and strong ultraviolet rays, remember to bring warm and sun protection
4. If you want to see the sunset, you can enter the scenic area after 5 pm
5. Due to the high altitude and large temperature changes in the Bayanbulak area, remember to bring enough warm clothing no matter the season
6. The sun is strong on the grassland, so sun protection is essential.
7. Remember not to damage the environment at will, and maintain the cleanliness and beauty of the scenic area.
Dining recommendations:
You can find a variety of delicacies in the restaurants of the scenic area, such as roasted lamb, hand-grabbed lamb, lamb hot pot, buttered tea, big plate chicken, roasted buns, raw roasted meat, lamb belly roast, potstickers, sand baked cake, slate baked cake--Kumaiqi, Qiemo thin naan, whole sheep feast, dried meat, stomach-wrapped meat, meat under the crust, etc., all are worth a try
Accommodation recommendations:
Bayanbulak Boyali Hotel, ranging from economy to comfort. Book your accommodation in advance.
I lay on the grassland all day, and today I ended up in Bayanbulak
Bayanbulak, I believe everyone is quite familiar with this place. Shen Teng has unfolded his passionate stories here in two consecutive movies 'Pegasus'.
In reality, Bayanbulak, without any rally races, means 'rich spring' in Mongolian, and it is also the second-largest grassland in China.
🌄 The Nine Bends and Eighteen Turns reflect the scenery of nine suns, which is best viewed around 9 to 10 pm (since the sunset is late in Xinjiang~), and it's still quite crowded, so choose according to your needs.
🦢 At Swan Lake, you can feed the swans, but just be mindful of safety and mosquitoes.
⚠️p.s. The Bayanbulak scenic area has started road upgrading and renovation since this April, and it is expected to be completed in June. Friends who want to visit should make plans accordingly.
