The ancestral hall is divided into east and west courtyards, separated by a corridor and surrounded by high walls. The building faces south, with three rooms, all of which are brick and wood structures. The house is tall, with a combination of beam-lifting and through-beam structures. The floor is paved with golden bricks, and the roof is a hard mountain roof with yin-yang tiles. The west courtyard is divided into two parts, front and back. The front hall is a row hall, and the back hall is a sacrificial hall. The ground in the garden is paved with granite slabs. There is a round arched door on each of the east and west walls of the front courtyard, and a pair of bluestone lions on the left and right sides of the front hall door. The middle courtyard is divided into two parts, north and south, by a corridor. The west corridor is close to the garden wall, and the east corridor is connected to the east courtyard. The imperial stele of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty, which was given to Qian Yingpu, the 30th grandson of Qian Liu and Minister of Works, is placed in the middle courtyard. The side hall of the east courtyard is a flower hall, with a garden in front, a pond, a hexagonal pavilion, and rockery in the garden. Tianning Temple was built in the Han Dynasty and was then called Chanyue Temple. In the fourth year of the Chongning period of the Song Dynasty (1105), it was granted the name "Tianning Yongzuo Temple" by imperial edict, and was abbreviated as Tianning Temple. The temple has a Buddha Hall, a mountain gate, and a Guanyin Hall. In 1334, due to the tide approaching Haiyan, Master Fanqi proposed to build the Zhenhai Pagoda. The pagoda was started on September 23 in the third year of the Zhizhi period (1337), and it took 29 years to complete. After that, Master Fanqi proposed to build a Buddha Pavilion in the third year of the Dali period of the Tang Dynasty (768), and named it Dabian Pavilion. The majestic scale of Tianning Temple was basically formed. Tianning Temple is symmetrical from south to north along the central axis. Starting from Wuqiu Pond, there is a stone archway, and then a memorial archway. Entering the mountain gate is the Mahavira Hall, behind which is the taller Thousand Buddha Pavilion, and passing through the Thousand Buddha Pavilion is the towering Zhenhai Pagoda. After several vicissitudes, the Mahavira Hall and the Vajra Hall in front of the pavilion were demolished in October 1979 and May 1980 respectively. Now only part of the Thousand Buddha Pavilion and Zhenhai Pagoda remain. The Zhenhai Pagoda was built in the Yuan Dynasty, and its height and architectural style are the best in the surrounding areas. The pagoda has seven sides and eight floors, and is 24 zhang high. It is extremely magnificent and is praised by all walks of life in Jiangnan. Later, in the eighth year of the Kangxi period, the pagoda was accidentally destroyed by fire, and only the core of the pagoda remained. Monk Juehai rebuilt it in the sixteenth year of the Kangxi period, and it took eight years to complete the restoration. During the War of Resistance Against Japan, it was hit by artillery fire twice, and the pagoda was severely damaged, especially the fifth and sixth floors, causing the entire pagoda to tilt to the southwest. On August 1, 1956, due to a strong typhoon, the pagoda was blown down, and in order to ensure the safety of the surrounding residents, the top three floors had to be demolished in 1960. 48 (sets) of cultural relics and nearly 370 ancient coins, several Zhenhai coins, and five boxes of scriptures were unearthed in the pagoda, including the Ashoka Pagoda, jade Buddha, jade bi, bronze bell, crystal ruyi, and scriptures. Zhenhai Pagoda is one of the only remaining Yuan Dynasty pagodas in northern Zhejiang, and has high historical, scientific, and artistic value. It was restored in 2006. Zhenhai Pagoda and Thousand Buddha Pavilion are both key cultural relics protection units in Zhejiang Province.

Qianfo Pavilion of Tianning Yongzuo Zen Temple was first built in the 3rd year of the Dali period of the Tang dynasty (768 AD), rebuilt twice in the early Hongwu period and the 1st year of the Chongzhen period (1628 AD) of the Ming dynasty, and renovated twice during the Qianlong and Tongzhi periods of the Qing dynasty. The pavilion is 5 rooms wide, 4 rooms deep, and 23 meters high, with 2 floors and a total area of 974.7 square meters. It has a double-eave hip roof, five-stepped bracket sets with double cantilevers, inclined columns, and a Taihu stone Sumeru pedestal. There are over 300 wood and stone carvings of flowers, animals, buildings, and other patterns on the Sumeru pedestal, beams, purlins, bracket sets, and sparrow braces. The pavilion is magnificent, scientifically structured, and artistically exquisite. It is the oldest and largest single-story wooden ancient building in the Hangzhou-Jiaxing-Huzhou area and one of the largest in Zhejiang. It is a key cultural relic under provincial protection.

It belongs to the "Shude Hall" and has a history of 170 years since its construction in the mid-Qing Dynasty. It has experienced several wars and suffered severe damage. The building is four stories high and 20.40 meters tall. The overall design reflects the grasp of traditional Chinese space and the facade design of white walls and black tiles. It focuses on the contrast between the virtual and the real and the interspersing of building forms, and uses components to strengthen the connection between buildings. The collections of Haiyan County Museum come from collections, archaeological excavations, donations, and transfers after confiscation by law enforcement agencies. Collection categories: stoneware, jade, pottery, porcelain, bronzes, stone carvings, seals, inkstones, wood carvings, calligraphy and paintings, etc. As of the end of 2019, Haiyan County Museum had 5,220 pieces/sets, including 865 pieces/sets of precious cultural relics. It is more crowded than you might expect on weekends. 👍🏻 There are two things you must do in Fengyi. One is to climb the viewing platform on the hillside, where you can enjoy a wide view and "step on" the pit in the lake. The other is to walk through the 100-meter-long air-raid shelter halfway up the mountain. 📝 Let's talk about the correct order of these two things. Enter from the tea garden road, and you will see a gravel road. Walk along it to the entrance of the air-raid shelter. The other end of the cave is the mountain road.
