The menu has pictures and English Eel rice comes in two sizes: large and small Sashimi rice bowls are available based on different types of sashimi. The eel rice is different from the usual ones which are moist, soft and sweet. The eel rice at this restaurant is charcoal-grilled, dry, and chewy. Everyone likes it very much, but my friends who are traveling with me feel that they are not used to it. The sashimi rice bowl is a highly praised item. When wondering where to have lunch in Busan, South Korea, I thought, since I'm in a seaside city, why not go for Kalguksu (a Korean noodle dish similar to udon) because I like it, so I decided to try the clam Kalguksu at a popular nearby restaurant. I visited the Bihak Mountain Knife-cut Noodles Haeundae Main Store, which is just a few minutes' walk from Haeundae Beach. I looked up places where I could eat Kalguksu, but it turns out that something like a Bibimbap set meal is actually more popular, and almost everyone else was ordering that! As a result, I was told that the Kalguksu would take 15 minutes (laughs). But I was craving Kalguksu, so I decided to wait the 15 minutes. The taste was worth the wait! It was delicious! One of the must-visit checkpoints in South Korea is to see Ryan (or Choonsik), and it turns out that there is a Ryan Holiday in Busan immersive exhibition hall near Haeundae District in Busan. I saw a whole building of Knotted donuts in Haeundae and rushed in to try them. In Taiwan, you have to make reservations and you can't choose the flavors. They are really delicious. I bought them again at B2 of Lotte Department Store in Seomyeon before returning to Taiwan and took them directly to the airport to continue enjoying them. If you pass by, remember to try them too. Stayed in Haeundae whike we were in Busan, and it is such a beautiful place to travel! It has a rich Guilin landscape, stunning mountains and rivers, magnificent rolling cliffs and very lovely small town streets. The Haeundae beach is one of the most popular and big beaches in Korea. The beach is nice, long and photogenic. The contrast of the colour of the sand and the sky with the glass buildings that reflect the sky works wonders. The views are picturesque. There are many hotels around here and it provides convenience for beachgoers. Also, there are many restaurants and cafes nearby, so you can eat various kinds of meals. If you like to take a walk, I recommend doing it at night. Because the night view of the surrounding building is very beautiful. You can walk along the beach, which is a nice walk with beautiful view of the sea and city. The streets in Haeundae is aesthetically pleasing and beautiful. The atmosphere and the vibe is totally different from Seoul. It is so peaceful and beautiful. The locals there are so nice and friendly. At the end of Haeundae Beach is Mipo station where you can get on the train or sky capsule. It is one end of the rail line. You will continue away from Haeundae if you start there. I took a train from Cheongsapo to Mipo. Cheongsapo is a small seaside town. I had donuts at a place called Alice Donut. From Cheongsapo station I walked to the observatory deck which takes about 10 minutes. You will have to wear shoe coverings which is provided for you at the entrance. You can also walk on the wooden deck path back to Haeundae. My first trip to Busan in May. Stayed in a hotel nearby with easy access to the beach. They still have their World Expo promotion up. I think they are also prepping for the sandcastle festival for later in May. If you look out at the water there are more hotels and restaurants to the left and to the right it is quieter and leads you to a trail around an island. You can access the sky capsule or the train at the end of the beach. The highest starbucks in Korea is also off this beach. The beach itself has soft sand and clean. Some parts of the beach is shallow. There are plenty of places to get some food within walking distance, at least five minutes or more. It was off season so the beach was not crowded. FYI: no fireworks at the beach. They make announcements to remind you.

It's great to ride during the day, but I highly recommend the sunset time(!) I went to Busan for 3 days and 2 nights in the summer! Shellfish, mulhoe, milmyeon, and daegi gukbap. Everything I ate was so delicious that I couldn't get enough. The sea was beautiful, and I felt happy just sitting there doing nothing. To most people puffer fish is a poisonous sea creature, but Koreans and Japanese treat them as a special delicacy. This shop named Geumsu (Gold Water) serves puffer fish meals. The main dish served is puffer fish soup with bean sprout and there are many side menus to be chosen such as braised puffer fish and deep fried. The soup has a clean fish taste and the bean sprout and chives adds on to its freshness. The fish itself has lots of bone and less flesh but the soup tasted heavenly. Who wouldn't like a bowl of hot soup during this chilly winter? In Haeundae Busan near Louis Hamilton Hotel, there is an eatery that serves piping hot pork soup with rice, called Mika (means nice house). The soup is boiled with pork bones for many hours, making the broth very thick, and slices of lean pork meat were added to the soup. You can also opt to upsize and add another small plate of pork slices for those with bigger tummy. You can sit until the end of the line or take the faster train back halfway. Try choosing a ticket when you buy it. You can sit alone or with four people without mixing with others. While waiting, go to a secret restaurant? Walk straight along the tracks below. Look towards the sea. There will be a hidden cafe next to the sea behind a Korean barbecue restaurant. It's enough for you to kill time taking pictures while waiting. When it's close to the time, go queue up to get on the bus. You'll get a good view. It takes about an hour to reach your destination. The beach is one of the most famous beaches as well as the most popular vacation destinations even among Koreans. The inside is narrow, so only two groups were allowed in, so I waited outside for a bit. The exterior was pink itself. It looked like it belonged in a fantasy world in a fairy tale...? When it was my turn to go in, I quickly went in and took a look. I think pens and masking tape would be good for decorating a diary. I used to really work hard on my diary, so I have a lot of masking tape at home. Sanrio friends are trendy these days. The one that looks like a black devil is called Kuromi, and I think she's the most popular. I like My Melody wearing a pink rabbit hat the best. Hehe. It's located in Haeundae-gu, Busan, so it's easy to access, and the interior is well-decorated with a stylish design, so it's a great cafe to take pictures of!!
