On my trip to Ha Giang this week, I was able to capture this amazing experience with my phone. I didn't even wanted to put a filter on the picture because it might lose its magic. That night after sharing dinner with the family from the guest house, I met a friend of mine and took a walk under the stars, I lay down in the middle of the road and stare at the sky and the thousands of stars that were visible with naked eyes, this reminds me of my trip to Yunnan last year. The third day of biking wasn’t as crazily winding as day 2 but it was scary all the same. On day 2 of my journey through Ha Giang with strangers, I learned why it’s one of the most dangerous motor passes in Vietnam. The roads were full of endless winding edges with blind spots at every corner and trucks often coming directly towards you on each bend 😵 This was one of the most difficult days of the trip but 100% worth it for the experience! I was in Hanoi minding my own business and having dinner by myself when I met 2 strangers from my city who managed to convince me to go on a 4-day road trip via motorbike along the Ha Giang loop I’d never heard of it before, but I was waiting on some documents to be processed that would take exactly 4 days so I thought it was a sign I was meant to go on this trip if not to kill time until I could pick up my papers. Ha Giang Loop is one of the adventures you MUST take when coming to Vietnam. It is located 300km north of Hanoi. I booked 4days3nights tour with Jasmine, cost me 6 million VND or 252 USD. We started the tour in Hanoi at backpacker's hostel, where we waited for our bus to Ha Giang. After an 8-hour trip, we finally arrived at Jasmine Hostel, where we spent the rest of the night. After breakfast, we received briefing before starting the real adventure. I chose to ride with easyriders as I don't trust 'me' driving myself there. Aside from breath-taking scenery, this tour also offers you the opportunity to experience authentic cuisines, extraordinary motorbike rides, and diverse cultures.
