Pingtian Mountain is located 20 km north of Guigang City. Its main peak, Dapingtian Mountain, is 1,157 meters above sea level, making it the second highest peak in southern Guangxi. The top of the mountain is flat and is home to the largest alpine grassland in Guangxi, covering more than 3,000 mu. Pingtian Mountain is named after this grassland.

1. Alpine Grassland
The 3,700 mu alpine grassland on the top of the mountain is a rare natural landscape in South China. The mountain is blessed with abundant rainfall, and the top of the mountain is shrouded in mist. The climate is humid and pleasant, so the grassland is green all year round. The blue sky and white clouds make it a great place to take photos. It is known as the "Little Xinjiang" of Guangxi.
2. Sea of Clouds
In winter and spring, the condensation height of stratocumulus clouds drops below 1,000 meters, and a large sea of clouds often appears after rain. If the top of the mountain is higher than the clouds, you can see a vast sea of clouds from the top of the mountain, which is spectacular. The main peak of Pingtian Mountain, Dapingtian Mountain, is 1,157 meters above sea level, which is the most comfortable height to view the sea of clouds.
3. Alpine Tea Garden
Pingtian Mountain is located at 23.1 degrees latitude, which is recognized as the "golden latitude for tea" in the world. The Pingtian Mountain Tea Garden is built along the mountain, with good light and heat conditions, and is shrouded in mist all year round. It is a great place for young people to take photos.
4. Forest Park
Pingtian Mountain Forest Park covers a total area of 2,964 hectares, with a forest coverage rate of over 90%. It has a subtropical monsoon climate, with an average annual temperature of 21°C. The forest is quiet and elegant, the valleys are deep and clear, the mountains are majestic, and the flora and fauna are rich. There are natural landscapes such as "sea of clouds, fairy pool, grand canyon, waterfall, alpine pine forest, and alpine grassland". There is a mountain road leading directly to the park, making it easily accessible.

Adult ticket: CNY 10 on site.
Child ticket: 1. Children under 1.2 meters are free; 1.2–1.4 meters half price.

Parking fee: Self-driving vehicles need to pay a parking fee of CNY 10.

⚠️ Notes
‼️ There are no toilets on the mountain. The tea garden trailhead is the last toilet.
‼️ There are no signs. The end point is after the third pavilion.
‼️ It is windy and the temperature difference is large, so keep warm.
‼️ Don't get too close to cattle and horses, as you may get hurt. Don't stand behind horses, as you may get kicked.
‼️ It is best to bring trekking poles or pick up branches on site. Tools make it much easier.
‼️ There are no lights at night, so it is very dark. You will need a flashlight to go down the mountain. It is best to travel with others.
‼️ It is not recommended to bring small children, as it is really difficult (many people bring children).
‼️ Watch out for cow and horse dung in the grass.
