Harry Potter film set in Scotland 🏴
Glenfinnan viaduct in the Scottish highlands. The area itself is called Gelnfinnan and there a few things to do in the area.
This viaduct can be easily accessed in the Scottish Highlands either through driving a car or using a coach tour. The town of Fort William is not far away by car. Harry Potter fans will love this as it is used in the film as was the viaduct.
Once you get to the attraction, you can take a small walk up to the peak of the hill for a view of the viaduct. Well Worth a Stop at Glenfinnan Viaduct
#100WaysOfTravel
It takes 80 to 90 minutes to hike the 4km return route to the Viaduct through the forest. Well Recommended for all active individuals. Prams and Strollers are not accessible so take the street route to get there instead.
Note the Jacobite operational dates closely but otherwise Scotrail operates two train rides a day. Take the morning train and if you're lucky, you'll see another locomotive lumber along the Viaduct
“Exploring the magical Glenfinnan Viaduct, also known as the iconic ‘Harry Potter bridge’! 🌟 Located in the heart of the Scottish Highlands, this stunning railway viaduct with its 21 arches is where the Hogwarts Express famously travels to Hogwarts. 🚂✨ Whether you’re a fan of the movies or just love breathtaking landscapes, this place is a must-visit! The views are absolutely enchanting. 🏞️ #GlenfinnanViaduct #HarryPotter #ScottishHighlands #HogwartsExpress #ScotlandAdventure”
Glenfinnan.
This view looks like the one on a computer desktop screen. You can check the train schedule here to know the exact times. Usually, there are about four rounds per day. Parking can be quite crowded. If you're lucky, you might get a spot close by, but if not, you might have to circle around for a while to find a spot. It's recommended to wait at the train viewing point in advance because it gets very crowded. If you go early, you'll get a clear view of the train. I highly recommend visiting this spot. Photos are beautiful, but seeing it with your own eyes is even better.
Glenfinnan Viaduct 🚂
