Motor travel with friends 🏍️
#motortravel
My motor trip through Germany with friends was an unforgettable adventure! 🚗 We hit the open road, starting in Munich, where the autobahn stretches out endlessly. Cruising at high speeds (no speed limits in parts!), we felt an incredible sense of freedom. One of our first stops was Neuschwanstein Castle, with an entrance fee of about €15. The view of this fairytale castle against the Bavarian Alps was simply breathtaking.
We continued through the scenic Black Forest, stopping for delicious local cuisine—flavors as rich as the views. On the way, we explored smaller towns like Freiburg and Heidelberg, each filled with cobbled streets, old architecture, and cozy cafés. One of the highlights was the Rhine Valley, where vineyards and castles line the riverbanks.
Germany is the perfect country for a road trip with friends—smooth roads, beautiful landscapes, and great stops at every turn.

Go to Germany and visit the top 5 places worth visiting.
1.) Guerlain Aqua Allegoria Picture 123
With centuries of history, Cologne is one of the best cities in Germany to explore. Located on the western edge of the country, this city blends everything together and is perfect for a weekend getaway. For me, the most impressive landmark must be Cologne Cathedral. Located on the banks of the Rhine River, it overlooks Cologne and is well worth a visit. Not only that, but there is also a lot of history within its walls. The Gothic architecture of the cathedral is the most ambitious building project since the Middle Ages.
2.) Rottenburg, Plot 456
One of the most vibrant and colorful places in Germany is Rothenburg. Well, at least in my opinion!
Rothenburg is located on the edge of the state of Bavaria in northern Germany, and is one of the best tourist destinations in Germany. For many years, it has been included in the route of the Romantic Road.
3.) Burger Figure 7
One of the treasures of the Elbe River is the city of Hamburg. Trust me, Hamburg has too many epic sights!
Although it may not have the "advantages" of Berlin, as one of the best destinations for city travel in Germany, it has a strong influence.
4.) Dresden Figure 8
Dresden is located in the Saxony region of Germany and is a city about the size of Edinburgh in the UK. This makes it big enough to be vibrant and full of things to do, but also small enough to explore over a long weekend.
Dresden was once known as the "Jewel Box", housing several luxurious buildings and artworks.
5.) Munich Figure 9
Munich is known as the capital of Bavaria and is undoubtedly a very beautiful city, as well as one of the most worthwhile places to visit in Germany. Not only that, Munich can be the gateway to the wider Bavarian region, and can also easily become the starting or ending point of your travels.
Berlin, Germany, more than just Hitler
#2023travelwish
One of my most wished for travel destination is Berlin, Germany. I travelled in a group pre-Covid and would love to visit Berlin once again. We had tons of fun and learnt a lot about its history.
Charlie Checkpoint is the Berlin Wall crossing point between East Berlin and West Berlin during the Cold War from 1947 to 1991. The now defunct checkpoint is now a tourist attraction where you pay 5 euros to take a picture with the fake army officers.
Berliner Unterwelten is an underground museum that left a deep impression in me. I get to experience how the people survive underground and I'm amazed at how intelligent and strong their survival skills were.
I also visited the magnificent Reichstag building where Bundestag, the German federal parliament meets.
Reichstag building, Berlin
#celebratewithtrip
Reichstag building is the place where Bundestag, the German federal parliament meets. It is also considered a historic government building in Berlin. Opened in 1894, it underwent a full restoration in 1999 after many damages throughout the years.
Pre-registration is required to visit this place, be sure to make your registration weeks in advance as there are limited slots each day. Do note that visitors can only visit the roof terrace and dome of the Reichstag Building. As this is a government building, do expect security checks before entering the building.
It was a real eye opener to visit this magnificent building where the parliament meets.

The Mercedes Museum In Germany
There are alot of European branded cars made in Germany like the main fews are BMW, Audi, Volkswagen and Mercedes Benz.
As I'm a car fanatic, the mecerdes benz Museum is a bucketlists for me, as this musuem showcases Mercedes benz even before we were born. From the very 1st man made gas powered car in the 1800s and also the very 1st Mercedes sports car called the SL60 AMG to even the very first Mercedes benz car where doors open upwards.
This musuem covers more than 15,000 square metres with at least more than 100 over vehicles on showcase where you are able to learn the history and works behind the vehicles.
There is a small entrance fee roughly about 10 - 15 pounds, but this is definitely an educational tour and understanding how cars were once made solely for human transportation.

The Town Of Frankfurt
Recently I went for a short work trip to Frankfurt in Germany where I was able to do a short visit to St Paul's Church where its a former protestant Church in Germany and this is a site visited by many tourists as this has a historical value where this Church was built in the 1800s, and surprisingly this Church wasn't even bombed.
Also not too far away is the frankfurt train station located about a 10 - 15min walk away. The train station called Frankfurt am Main Hauptbahnhof, was also built in the 1800s was a transport hub for Germany and they have more than 20 over platforms making it one of the biggest and largest train station in Europe.
If you look around you in the town of frankfurt, the building resembles of olden times cottages houses which you are unable to see elsewhere. It's amazing how these structure still stands after so many years.

Quedlinburg, Jerman 🇩🇪

.
Kalau pusing Switzerland kena 2 minggu, pusing Jerman kena 18 minggu memandangkan Jerman 9 kali ganda lebih besar daripada Switzerland ;)
Around Berlin, Germany 🇩🇪
Location : Berlin, Germany
Worth the visit : 100% 💯
Getting there : Fly direct from SG to berlin. Or you can take their speed rail if you land anywhere else. I love taking their signature long distance bus Postbus especially if you wanna travel slow from 1 city to the other.
Berlin is so full of history. The people are born tough and strong at heart. The numerous conflict that is written in their history is just heartbreaking and some heartwarming at the same time. They have their own identity and they identify as a strong nation. I believe they are a strong nation too.
Very patriotic too and kind to the neighbouring countries. Their pharmaceutical creams for sensitive skin is the bomb.....they have so many ranges and it's cheap too.

Germany travel tips
#viewontop
Restaurants and Bars – You do not get water for free, you have to pay for it. If you order water you will get carbonated water. In most restaurants you can request tap water and they may or may not charge you but it is most likely straight from the sink. In some American fast food restaurants, (i.e. McDonalds) you must pay for ketchup as well. Be aware that the menus at most fast food restaurants in Germany are not exactly the same. You may also notice that a sandwich that you recognize from back home may taste a little different or it could be smaller. When you enter a restaurant you will not be seated, just walk right in and pick the table of your choice!- the tip should be much smaller than you would give in the States (this is because the waiters/waitresses get paid more than in the states) A tip of two or three EUR would be considered a good tip for very good service.
Supermarkets – If you shop for groceries in Germany you will notice the supermarkets have all of their large rolling carts outside in a designated area and they are locked to one another. In order to utilize a cart you must place one EUR in the cart itself, you will see the slot on the handle. Upon leaving the supermarket you latch the cart back to the other carts and pull the device out where you placed the coin, now you can retrieve your coin. When you have all of the groceries you want, proceed to the check-out counter. You will have to purchase plastic bags to put the groceries in or you can take one in yourself. If you decide to purchase one they are usually visible at the counter and normally only cost a few cents. If there is a long line do not put all of your groceries in the bag, put them back into the cart and bag them away from the line.
Kessel Germany
Kassel is a city in central Germany. It's known for its Documenta art exhibition. Bergpark Wilhelmshöhe is a sprawling park dating back to the 18th century. It's home to Wilhelmshöhe Palace and its Old Masters Picture Gallery. The neo-Gothic Löwenburg castle displays 16th- and 17th-century weapons.
Gotha, Friedenstein Castle
Gotha is a relatively smaller town than its nearby neighbours, measuring 70 square km in total size and with a relatively small population. But it’s precisely for this reason that I was there in light of the pandemic. I have the opportunity to explore historic venues, wonderful museums, and stroll through the streets without the constant stream of tourists.
One of the most impressive German castles located here in Gotha is Friedenstein Castle (Schloss Friedenstein). Built by Ernest I, Duke of Saxe-Gotha, between 1643 and 1654, Friedenstein Castle became the seat of the Dukes of Saxe-Gotha and well as their residence. Constructed to represent strength and authority, it’s hardly surprising to learn that the incredible building was one of the largest of its time.

The Museum Island
The Museum Island (German: Museumsinsel) is a museum complex on the northern part of the Spree Island in the historic heart of Berlin. It is one of the most visited sights of Germany's capital and one of the most important museum sites in Europe. Built from 1830 to 1930 by order of the Prussian Kings according to plans by five architects, the Museum Island was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1999. It consists of the Altes Museum, the Neues Museum, the Alte Nationalgalerie, the Bode-Museum and the Pergamonmuseum. As Museum Island includes all of Spree Island north of the Unter den Linden, the Berliner Dom is also located here, near the Lustgarten. To the south, the reconstructed Berlin Palace houses the Humboldt Forum museum and opened in 2020. Since the German reunification, the Museum Island has been rebuilt and extended according to a master plan
Brandenburg Gate
The Brandenburg Gate is a city gate that is a monument as well as the most famous landmark and icon of the German state. This neo-classical style gate was built by the Prussian king Frederick William II in 1791 as a symbol of peace. Tourist attractions in Germany Brandenburg Gate is located west of the Pariser Platz square, the Intersection of Unter Den Linden and Ebertstrabe. Brandon bracket is the city gate as well as the entrance to untar den linden. When passing through this gate, visitors will see a wide road with linden trees planted on the left and right. By following this path, visitors can go directly to the Berlin City Palace. Architect Carl Gotthard Langhans built the Brandenburg Gate inspired by the gate of the Acropolis in Athens, Greece. What is unique and a marker for getting to know the Brandenburg Gate is the existence of the Quadriga Statue made by the sculptor Johann Gottfried Schadow in 1793. Tourist attractions in Germany, Brandenburg Gate is not only famous for its classic architecture. There is quite a lot of historical value in the Brandenburg Gate. This city gate becomes the silent taxi of tumultuous history. When the 2nd world war took place, this gate was completed.

Heidelberg Old City
An old autonomous city in Baden-Württemberg which is famous for its castle, old town, and old university dam. Heidelberg is one of the major German cities that was not destroyed in World War II. A special part of this city is the old town from the Baroque era.
In Heidelberg there is a pedestrian area that is very famous because it is the longest pedestrian in Europe, and on the left and right side there are old buildings that are still functioning. In addition, there is also a famous bed, Heidelberger Schloss, which remains in ruins. This building was originally a fortress located in a strategic place as a fortress. This fort later became the residence / palace of the king in Pfalz. Since the damage in 1689 and 1693 due to the war for the throne from the heirs of the Pfalz kingdom, this building has only been partially restored. In 1764 one part of the building was again damaged by a fire caused by a lightning strike.

Frauenkirche
New but old church, or vice versa old but new church? The answer is up to you, yes… this church has been around since the 11th century. But unfortunately this church was destroyed by bombs in World War II. The remains of the church debris were left and became the Anti-War monument. After the unification of West Germany and East Germany, the German people asked to be rebuilt. Finally the church was rebuilt, started in 1994 and only completed in 2005. After 13 years of renovation, the Frauenkirche which means Church of Our Lady was inaugurated with a lively service from October 30, 2005 to October 31, 2005 – today is German Reformation Day.
Volkerschlachtdenkmal in Leipzig
Leipzig is a major city in Saxony, and it is also home to one of the largest monument in Europe. The Volkerschlachtdenkmal, or Monument of the Battle of the Nations, was built to remember the Battle of Leipzig in the Napoleonic Wars. During the battle, more than 100,000 soldiers perished. Although the battle took place in 1813, the monument wasn’t unveiled until 1913. Today, the monument is accompanied by a museum exhibit explaining more about the battle and the Napoleonic wars of the 19th century.
Romance History
You are still—as when first I saw, as when I last addressed you—in the venerable city which I must always think of as my home. And I have come so far; and the sights and thoughts of my youth pursue me; and I see like a vision the youth of my father, and of his father, and the whole stream of lives flowing down there far in the north, with the sound of laughter and tears, to cast me out in the end, as by a sudden freshet, on these ultimate islands. And I admire and bow my head before the romance of destiny. The 25th day of August, 1751, about two in the afternoon, I, David Balfour, came forth of the British Linen Company, a porter attending me with a bag of money, and some of the chief of these merchants bowing me from their doors. Two days before, and even so late as yestermorning, I was like a beggar-man by the wayside, clad in rags, brought down to my last shillings, my companion a condemned traitor, a price set on my own head for a crime with the news of which the country rang. To-day I was served heir to my position in life, a landed laird, a bank porter by me carrying my gold, recommendations in my pocket, and (in the words of the saying) the ball directly at my foot.

Neuschwanstein Castle, Germany
The hilltop Schloss Neuschwanstein was home to young King Ludwig II of Bavaria, who ascended to the throne full of dreams for his kingdom, lost power to the Prussians, retreated to several fantasy palaces and became so isolated that he was declared insane in 1886. The lavish, white fairy-tale palace welcomes more than 1.4 million curious visitors annually and is said to be Walt Disney’s inspiration for the Sleeping Beauty Castle at Disneyland.

Castles - live like a princess
Eltz Castle has steadily become one of the most-photographed castles on Instagram with many landscape photographers choosing to capture it during the eerie hours of the day.
The castle sits on top of a hill surrounded by a thick forest, adding to the mysterious feel. Located in Rheinland-Palatine, known as the Moselle wine region famous for Riesling wine, due to its secluded position, it feels worlds away.

Loved this tour!
We toured this factory and really enjoyed it. I love behind the scenes type of attractions , and it was so fun to see where they make some of the world's biggest and best ships. My son was a Disney Castmember and liked the pride they took in building a Disney ship we had sailed on, too. The place was huge, obviously to fit the ships, and just awesome. Liked seeing the workers doing some of the many jobs required, and it was nice to see first hand some of the pieces coming together. Really fascinating and enjoyable

#tripaway Amidst beautiful, green natural scenery, just a few minutes from Neuschwanstein and the neighbouring castle of Hohenschwangau, Bavaria’s highest town, Füssen, lies on the shores of the Alpine River Lech. It marks the convergence of popular tourism routes such as the Romantic Road, the German Alpine Road and the Trans-Alpine Via Claudia Augusta. Up above, the Hohe Schloss, or High Castle, sits in majesty with its richly coloured illusionist paintings.
In the romantic streets of Füssen old town, medieval town houses sit alongside impressive Baroque churches. In summer, the many street cafés lend the old town district an almost Italian flair. Beautiful views can be enjoyed not only from the towers of the Hohe Schloss but also from boat trips on Lake Forggensee – including Neuschwanstein Castle against an Alpine backdrop.
Traces of the Bavarian kings abound in Füssen. The Hohe Schloss above the old town, the former summer residence of the Bishops of Augsburg, was due to be woken from its slumber in the 19th century and turned into a residence for Crown Prince Maximilian, father of the Fairy Tale King, Ludwig II. But things took a different turn: on a journey through the Alps, Maximilian came across the ruins of Schwanstein Castle and had his castle, Hohenschwangau, built there, just a few kilometres from Füssen.
A royal dream – The Allgäu on both sides of the River Lech, between wild mountains and idyllic lakes – this was the favourite retreat of the Bavarian Fairy Tale King Ludwig II, where he could escape from the everyday life of government in Munich. Here he turned his dreams into reality with Neuschwanstein Castle.
The view from Neuschwanstein Castle extends far out into the countryside. Standing on the balcony of the throne room on a castle tour, you can see why Ludwig II chose this particular location for his “Holy Grail”.

#tripaway There may not be a lovelier scene in Germany than the town of Cochem, couched in the high, vine-clad slopes of the Moselle Valley.
The town of half-timbered houses, scurrying streets and medieval gates is on a loop in the river, under the steady watch of the Romantic Reichsburg castle.
The Moselle cuts through two hiking paradises, the Eifel and Hunsrück ranges, while there’s a trail along the valley threading through vineyards and past Medieval castles to Koblenz or Trier.
Or you can take it easy, sipping local Riesling on the town’s half-timbered squares and kicking back on a cruise on the Moselle.
Let’s explore the best things to do in Cochem:
1. Reichsburg Cochem
Reichsburg Cochem

Reichsburg Cochem
Cochem’s crowning glory is a Medieval toll castle, rebuilt in a fairytale style in the 1870s.
No matter which route you take into Cochem your gaze will be drawn to this fantasy-like sight and its giant four-storey octagonal tower far above the river.
The castle goes back to the start of the 12th century.
There are remnants of the Medieval building in the ring wall, octagonal tower, “Hexenturm” witch’s gate and the building housing the great hall (Rittersaal). But most of what we see today was done in the Neo-Renaissance style when the Berlin banker Louis Fréderic Jacques Ravené restored the property according to the Romantic tastes of the 19th century.
A guided tour of the castle will take about 40 minutes, presenting tapestries, fine wood panelling, Louis XIV-style furniture, Baroque paintings, stained glass windows and armour.
