A baked goods shop inside a retro building
I stopped by the baked goods shop "myao Taiyou to Tsuki" inside the "FUJI HIMO:RO" site in Fujiyoshida 🍪
As the name of the shop suggests, it has a gentle atmosphere like the sun and the moon.
Handmade cookies, scones, muffins, and other vegan and gluten-free snacks that make the most of the natural flavors of ingredients are lined up.
They're simple, but each one is made with care, and the taste is comforting.
It was a warm space that harmonized with the quiet atmosphere of the icehouse.
It's the perfect place for souvenirs and a relaxing break.

🍪 myao Taiyou to Tsuki – A peaceful bakery inside Fuji HIMO:RO
Inside the nostalgic FUJI HIMO:RO area in Fujiyoshida,
we stopped by myao Taiyou to Tsuki – a small bakery whose name means “Sun and Moon.”
The atmosphere is warm and comforting, just like their handmade cookies, scones, and muffins.
Each treat felt like it was made with love, simple but truly satisfying.
It’s a quiet little hideaway that blends seamlessly with the retro architecture of the complex.
Perfect for a sweet pause or to pick up a gift.

Oboshi Park Sakura – A Fuji-Framed Cherry Blossom Wonderland
#cherryblossom25
Located in Fujikawa Town, Yamanashi Prefecture, Daihoji Park is one of Japan's "Top 100 Cherry Blossom Spots." Every spring, around 2,000 cherry trees bloom in full glory against the stunning backdrop of Mt. Fuji, creating a breathtakingly picturesque scene. The park’s highest point, Mount Daihoji, offers panoramic views over the Fujikawa Basin — perfect for flower viewing and photography.

Oboshy Nature and Hanami
#cherryblossom2024
Every year, more than 2,000 cherry trees briefly transform the already amazing landscapes of Oboshi Park into a blooming pink kingdom. The peak season is at the end of March — beginning of April.
We recommend it
Take a walk through the park, which stretches on a hill 300 meters high
Visit Daihosiyama Yamanokami Sano-jinja Shrine — a tree grows right through its roof
Admire the Fujikawa River just a 25-minute walk from the park
How to get
The park can be reached by public transport.
At Shinjuku Station on the Chuo Line, take the express to Kofu, transfer to the JR Minobu line and drive to Kajikazawaguchi Station. From there, Oboshi Park is 15 minutes by taxi or 40 minutes on foot.
A walk in the park
The park is located on a hill. There is a magnificent view of the surrounding area. Walking here is pleasant and not at all difficult — the slope is gentle. At the top of the hill there is a large concrete clock tower with a huge sculpture of a flying bird. They often make dates here.
Cherry Blossom Festival
When thousands of trees bloom, people come to the park for picnics and parties. Come and join the festivities. You can bring food and drinks with you or buy them at street shops. In addition, it is worth participating in carnival games: maybe you will be able to win a prize.
Night lights
Sakura parties don't end with sunset. The trees are illuminated at night, and most kiosks are open late. Nothing will stop you from having fun late into the night.
