Nestled in the remote north of Finland, the landscape here is like stepping into another world. 🏕️ Located above the Arctic Circle, there’s no entrance fee, and the sheer isolation makes it a perfect escape into nature’s quiet beauty. We set up camp near Lake Kilpisjärvi, surrounded by snowy peaks and crisp mountain air. Hiking through the wilderness, we came across Saana Fell, an iconic mountain and one of Finland’s most treasured spots. The trail to the summit was challenging but worth every step; the view from the top stretched across Finland, Norway, and Sweden, a true reward for nature lovers. As night fell, the magic of the Northern Lights began to dance above us. Watching the colors swirl against the dark sky, with only the sound of wind and wilderness, was beyond words. Nearby, you can find traditional Finnish saunas and small local restaurants in Kilpisjärvi village. Warming up in a sauna after a day of trekking in the chill was the perfect end to each day.
