I had a transit stop while flying to India and was impressed by the facilities in Abudhabi airport. This is my first time here in UAE and I am very impressed by how things are going here. Lounge, custom, check in luggage and access to the city is very easy. The airline that I came with have a stopover program which allows you to stay in hotel for free including transportation to the hotel and food during your stay.

Beautiful architecture not far from Abu Dhabi airport. you can take a direct bus from the airport. It is ideal for a short stop over in Abu Dhabi. I would take you a couple of hours to discover the whole place. After this trip you can visit the central area of Abu Dhabi and enjoy all different kinds of food, shopping or just go to the beach and chill out. Highly recommend

The Louvre Museum is always crowded, but I was able to take pictures when there were no people inside the museum until 1 a.m. The exhibits change periodically, so it's a place worth visiting again even if you've been there once. In particular, the night view from the Louvre is really great, and the drone show is held every 1 to 1.5 hours from 6 p.m. until the end of January 2024, so I recommend coming once in the evening.

My layover in Abu Dhabi was fantastic! Despite it being late at night, the airport was still bustling with people in shops and restaurants. There were countless of amenities available that kept everyone company. From the couches in the public space to the amazing waiting areas within the gates, I could not have asked for a better layover experience! Loved every moment of it 🥳

Etihad Airways also began operating at Kansai Airport in October 2023, so I boarded right away. First, check-in at Kansai Airport. There was a long line because we couldn't fit everything in. There were many people with large luggage, so it took a very long time. Due to the long line for security, I arrived at the boarding gate about 10 minutes before the scheduled boarding time and couldn't use the lounge. The plane was extremely comfortable with large-screen entertainment and seats with headrests. The in-flight meals were delicious and we had multiple drinks. Snacks were also distributed between in-flight meals. The transfer in Abu Dhabi was smooth, but the waiting room for the flight to Cairo (most of the flights around were to India) was full, so it was late at night. There is no place where you can sleep comfortably during a transfer. There is a free shower attached to the toilet at Abu Dhabi Airport. I used it on the way back, and although the shower booth itself is large, there is no shelf to put your luggage. I put it on the floor farthest from the shower, but if you don't shower properly, your luggage will get wet. It would be convenient to have a plastic bag to cover your luggage. Please bring your own soap and shampoo. There was a Japanese attendant on the Abu Dhabi to Cairo flight (on shift).
