2024 Dubai Travel Guide: Must-see attractions, popular food, hotels, transportation routes (updated in November)
Dubai is currently one of the hottest travel destinations in the Middle East. The structural marvels created in this modern metropolis make it stand out. Skyscrapers like the 828-meter-high Burj Khalifa or the magnificent Palm Jumeirah archipelago have become landmark symbols of Dubai. Dubai City is nestled between the sea and burning desert sands. This unique geography allows visitors who come here the opportunity to experience a broad range of diverse entertainment facilities. You could go to the Jumeirah Beach to play in the water or sunbathe on the white sand, take a hot air balloon up over the desert, or go on a desert jeep safari. If your budget allows, you can (and should) spend the night at one of Dubai's top-class hotels for a unique luxury experience.

Trip to Dubai 🇦🇪
If you’re planning a shopping trip to Dubai, UAE, you’re in for a treat! During our visit, we explored some of the city’s most iconic shopping spots, and I would recommend these places to anyone who loves a mix of luxury and local finds.
We visited The Dubai Mall, one of the largest shopping centers in the world. With over 1,200 stores, from high-end brands to affordable fashion 🛍️ , there’s something for everyone. The best time to go is mid-morning, around 10 AM, when it opens, as the crowds are still thin. Don’t miss the Fashion Avenue for the ultimate luxury experience. After shopping, we explored the Dubai Aquarium 🐟 , which is located inside the mall, making it a full-day experience.
📍Financial Center Road, Downtown Dubai, Dubai
Another must-visit is the Mall of the Emirates, where we spent a few hours shopping at the many designer boutiques. We explored the fashion and electronics sections before relaxing at Ski Dubai 🎿, the indoor ski resort, which is an unforgettable experience. I would recommend visiting around 11 AM to get the most out of your shopping and activities before the afternoon rush. This mall is perfect for those who want a mix of luxury and entertainment.
📍Sheikh Zayed Road, Al Barsha, Dubai
We also explored City Walk, an open-air retail complex that combines shopping with outdoor cafes and art displays. It’s the perfect place for a relaxed afternoon ⛅️ stroll. With a mix of international brands and unique boutiques, you can easily spend a few hours here🛍️ We recommend visiting in the late afternoon, around 4 PM, when the weather cools down a bit, making it pleasant for walking around 🚶♀️
📍Al Safa Street, Jumeirah, Dubai
For a more traditional shopping experience, we visited the Gold Souk in Deira. It’s an incredible place to explore if you’re looking for gold, diamonds, or other jewelry. We recommend going in the early morning ☀️ around 9 AM, as it can get crowded later in the day. The variety and craftsmanship are remarkable, and you can also bargain to get better prices 💰
📍Al Ras, Deira, Dubai
Lastly, we alos explored Souk Madinat Jumeirah, which offers a more boutique and artisanal shopping experience. With its traditional Arabian marketplace feel, it’s the perfect place to find unique souvenirs, from local crafts to luxury items 💎 I recommend visiting around sunset, at 5 PM, to enjoy the beautiful views of the Burj Al Arab while you shop.
📍Jumeirah Road, Dubai
Each of these locations offers a different shopping experience, and I would highly recommend giving yourself at least a few days to truly explore the variety Dubai has to offer.

An Enchanting Experience at the Dubai Aquarium
#aquarium #100waysoftravel #dubai
My visit to the Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo was truly unforgettable. Located in The Dubai Mall, the aquarium is breathtaking, featuring one of the largest suspended aquariums in the world.
As I approached, I was immediately captivated by the massive glass tank filled with vibrant marine life.
Walking through the tunnel gave me a 270-degree view of the aquarium, where I marveled at the majestic sharks, graceful rays, and colorful schools of fish swimming overhead. It felt surreal to be surrounded by such a diverse array of sea creatures.

An Arabian resort hotel that suddenly appears in the middle of the desert.
Located in Dubai, this is not a fake desert resort but a genuine Arabian resort hotel that suddenly appears in the middle of the desert.
I always wanted to stay here, and my dream finally came true✨
The hotel is designed to resemble a traditional Arab fort, and the guest room area is so intricately built that it feels like a maze, and I even got lost along the way.
Bab Al Shams means 'Gateway to the Sun' in Arabic.
The view with the morning sun shining through was truly beautiful.
This is a hotel I definitely want to stay at again when I visit Dubai.
Since it's a bit far from the center of Dubai, we drove there🚗
Shopping in Dubai 🛍️
#travelshopping
Shopping at Dubai Mall in downtown Dubai was an unforgettable experience! The sheer size of the mall is mind-blowing—there’s over 1,200 stores! From luxury brands like Gucci and Chanel to affordable fashion and local boutiques, there’s something for every budget. There’s no entrance fee to the mall itself, but be ready to spend if you love shopping! I ended up splurging on a pair of designer shoes.
One of the highlights is the Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo located inside the mall. Tickets are about 120 AED (€30) for adults, and it’s worth every penny to walk through the tunnel surrounded by marine life. The Dubai Fountain and Burj Khalifa are just steps away, and catching a fountain show in the evening was the perfect way to wrap up a day of shopping.
Don’t forget to try some delicious international cuisine at the food court or one of the many upscale restaurants. Whether it’s fashion, food, or fun, Dubai Mall has it all!
