Before my trip, I planned to visit Alpe di Siusi, Seceda, Santa Maddalena, Soprabolzano, and Lake Carezza. However, I ended up visiting Alpe di Siusi, Seceda, and Soprabolzano. ♥️Eastern Dolomites The main base city is Cortina d’Ampezzo, but I chose Dobbiaco due to its more affordable accommodation. My planned destinations included Cinque Torri, Tre Cime, Lake Misurina, Lake Braies (Lago di Braies), Lake Dobbiaco, and cycling across the Austrian border. Among these, I visited Tre Cime, Lake Braies, and cycled to Austria. 💕Accommodation Accommodation in the Dolomites is expensive, so I opted for youth hostels. A popular hiking spot in the Dolomites, the Cadini Misurina viewpoint uses the same parking lot as the Tre Cime Lavaredo hike. From the parking lot, look for the starting point and walk towards Tre Cime. At the entrance, look for the sign for Trail 117 and turn right, following the sign. The first part is downhill; follow the sign for Trail 117. After that, the path is quite steep and narrow, requiring caution. However, it's not too difficult for anyone. We brought our children and managed to walk there. It took about an hour and a half, including photo opportunities, to reach the destination. It's a very beautiful photo spot. The mountain views here are breathtaking. Anyone visiting the Dolomites should definitely not miss this hike. I never knew how easy it was to #hike on the #dolomites, and how it can be done in a #budget. From taking the local bus from Bolzano/Bolzen, for less than 2€, we took a easy 2 hour hike to the wonderful Tschafon Hut, filled with locals, where we stayed the night (60€ per person, including breakfast) and we got to hike even higher the next day until we eventually came down the other side of the mountain and took the bus back to Bolzano. We brought our own food and ate dinner in the hut, for a reasonable price and we managed to complete this 2 day, 1 night for under 100€.

#7月好去处2025 Smart Hotel Saslong is located in Santa Cristina in the Dolomites, surrounded by stunning scenery. The hotel has a beautiful exterior, exquisite structure, and warm and thoughtful staff. Maybe there is no refrigerator in the dormitory because it provides three meals a day, but overall, the hotel is clean, comfortable, simple, warm and quiet. The breakfast was perfect and exceeded our expectations. There was salmon, dozens of breads, various cold cuts and cheeses, delicious cappuccino, puff pastry, pancakes and various special desserts. The room was big enough for two people. The sheets were beautiful and the cleaning was in place. The public areas of the hotel were also very comfortable. The hotel is very nice. Although the room is not very spacious, it is not bad for two people!

This kind of freedom is just like the carefree spirit sung by Adam Cheng: “With my heart, I have my own path.” With the steering wheel in hand, the road ahead unfolds like a painting. ⛰️ Floating Clouds Over Geisler: The Mountains Stand, the Heart Finds Peace Driving into the mountains is like sailing through an ink sea. The gentle green plains of northern Italy quickly give way to the stark bones of the Alps. Arriving in Ortisei, dusk drapes the town in a warm veil. Settling in, opening the window, the crisp air filled with the scent of pine and cooking smoke floods the lungs. In the distance, the silhouette of the mountains stands silent like ancient philosophers. The next day, the wheels glide lightly toward the Funes Valley. The mountain road winds like the earth’s flexible crease. When the jagged outline of the Geisler peaks suddenly comes into view, breath catches. They stand there with a nearly fierce solemnity, as if time itself has frozen at their feet. Choosing a grassy slope to sit, waiting for dusk. The water’s color is magical, a blend of blue and green, so deep it seems to absorb all noise. Standing by the lake, gazing at this “Mirror Lake,” time seems to freeze again. The water is silent but reflects the drifting clouds, the mountains’ steadfastness, and the reflections of visitors on the shore. It is the most honest mirror, revealing outward appearances and faintly reflecting the folds within the heart. Those “worldly matters” once thought impossible to let go now seem like ripples cast against the vast mountain lake backdrop, eventually settling into calm. Although it's located in Italy, a country with a long history, you can tell that many places are old and need maintenance. If you've been to Italy, you'd know there are lots of graffiti, the streets can be quite dirty, and there's often an unpleasant smell. However, this place is close to Austria and seems influenced by its culture, making the cityscape exceptionally clean, with buildings regularly renovated. The season is perfect—not too cold, yet there's still snow, making it ideal for photography. There are quite a few Asian tourists, but not many fellow travelers from Hong Kong, and hardly any tour groups. I felt like I was in Switzerland, but with Italian prices. We did our research beforehand and found that accommodations here are expensive, and restaurants are closed at night. So, we brought instant noodles, but surprisingly, there were hot meals available that were delicious and affordable. At the scenic spot's restaurant, we enjoyed dishes featuring lamb, alpaca, rabbit, and even peacock, and the coffee was cheaper than in the city. I've been to Tibet and Nepal, which are also stunning, but you need to endure altitude sickness. Switzerland is beautiful too, but everything there is expensive. Here, the cable car costs only a third of what it does in Switzerland. If you have time to explore leisurely, buying a pass makes it even more worthwhile. The city itself is already gorgeous, and a 10-minute cable car ride feels like entering a fairyland. The Dolomites' expenses are similar to those in Italian cities, and even cheaper than popular tourist spots. It's not exactly dirt-cheap, but it definitely offers the quality of roast goose flavors.
