Solo travel from Laos to Vietnam
#Luang Prabang #Oudomxay #Dien Bien Phu §#Sapa #Sapa #Vietnam #Laos
Hello, after we finished our trip to Laos and Vietnam, I would like to share my trip to Laos and Vietnam.
This plan, we thought back and forth, deleted and replanned, deleted again and again. Sometimes when we actually arrived, the plan we had planned fell apart.
Let's start. For this trip, we landed at Luang Prabang Airport. Before traveling, we ordered a Laos and Vietnam SIM card and put it on standby. You can find it on the Orange app and the Blue app. When we arrived at the airport, we changed it and it was ready to use. It's very convenient.
We stayed in Luang Prabang for one day (or if you have time, you can travel outside of Luang Prabang) and planned to visit Oudomxay (I personally like this city). We took the Laos-China train and got off at this station. It took only about 30 minutes.
*From Luang Prabang to the train station, if you come with many people, you can charter a car. But if not many, there will be a van in front of the shop *Joma Bakery*, a famous shop in Luang Prabang that everyone knows. 30 baht per person, in Thai baht.
“We have 3 ways to get there.”
1. Dien Bea Phu, take a bus from Udomxay (the bus leaves only once at 9 am, Southern Line, Udomxay, Thai baht 400-500 baht). The bus line is here https://www.google.com/maps?q=%E0%BA%84%E0%BA%B4%E0%BA%A7%E0%BA%A5%E0%BA%BB%E0%BA%94%E0%BA%AA%E0%BA%B2%E0%BA%8D%E0%BB%83%E0%BA%95%E0%BB%89+%E0%BA%AD%E0%BA%B8%E0%BA%94%E0%BA%B B%E0%BA%A1%E0%BB%84%E0%BA%8A+JXRG%2BW3M,+Houaylin,+%E0%B8%A5%E0%B8%B2%E0%B8%A7&rlz=1C1GCEU_thTH888TH888&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwipjvngi939AhXhluYKHfOkC5wQ_AUoAnoECAEQBA As for us, we stayed at the Saisana Hotel. In the morning, they picked us up and took us to the bus station before 8:00 a.m. to allow extra time. Find information in this group and on TripAdvisor and YouTube. The question is why we went to Dien Bien Phu on the Vietnamese border? Because this place is an important historical site in the world. After World War II ended, North Vietnam requested independence from France. So we had to come to this city. We traveled to the border, asked to leave Laos, and asked to enter Vietnam. The fee for stepping on the land Converted to Thai baht, 40-50 baht. Prepare some Lao money in case they charge you. 2. Entering Vietnam via Dien Bien Phu, but there is a bus from Luang Prabang too. It is on the northern route. Ask first because they only leave a few times a week. map Transportation

The bus leaves at 8am.
3. Who will enter via Hanoi? Go to the southern line of Luang Prabang, it is nearby. Naluang Company accepts bookings. Tickets are about $50. Is it a sleeper bus for almost 24 hours? If I remember correctly, we asked. Naluang International Bus Station

For us, we choose option 1, the route from Udomxai to Dien Bien Phu. The route is so beautiful that we couldn't sleep for 6 hours. Hot water, private room, curves, no need to talk about it. Prepare smelling salts and motion sickness pills. The car had already stopped and we walked into this hotel. At that time, it was 260 baht with a balcony. https://www.google.com/maps?q=Frontier+Hostel,+8+L%C3%B2+V%C4%83n+H%E1%BA%B7c,+Street,+T h%C3%A0nh+ph%E1%BB%91+%C4%90i%E1%BB%87n+Bi%C3%AAn+Ph%E1%BB%A7,+%C4%90i%E1%BB%87n+Bi%C3%AA n+380000&ftid=0x312d09f20fa27a99:0x483c8ac021cabeed&hl=vi-VN&gl=vn&entry=gps&coh=166247&lucs=47057722,47062720&g_ep=CAISBjYuNTQuMRgAIM3yAioRNDcwNTc3MjIsNDcwNjI3MjBCAlZO&g_st=ifm The owner is British. The staff can speak some English. If anyone is going to Sapa or anywhere, there is a car to pick you up at the hotel. There are times and cars to choose from. But the owner, who has been passionate about Vietnam for 30 years, said that if you go to the north, Ha Giang, Vietnam is much more beautiful than Sapa.
Here, we would like to share the Laos travel route and enter Vietnam in the Laos group so that many Thais can travel to both countries conveniently and have information as an alternative for traveling.
