The photo is of the beach villa! ️ I tried two rooms, the overwater suite and the beach villa, but I recommend this one ✨ All three girls who went with me recommended the beach villa over the overwater suite 😆 You can access the beach directly, so you can go right to the sandy beach made of coral and shells and the beautiful, crystal clear sea. Sharks (a type called black something) come to swim right up to the beach, and it's exciting to see a sight you don't usually see 😊 Of course, the water is extremely clear! Clean and beautiful rooms, and a bath with a sense of openness! ! I want you to see this in person! ! I was really impressed! I didn't do the free activities, but it was nice that it came with 2 hours for free! There were a lot of families, and the restaurant included in the plan was noisy, so it wasn't that delicious! The spa was the best resort spa I've ever been to! I fell into a deep, deep sleep, and it was so comfortable I couldn't wake up! Unlike the Ritz, it's also nice that it's easy to make a reservation! I exchanged contact details with the person in charge, but my messages were never read💦 and he never answered my calls💦, so I had no idea what he was there for|ω・｀) (It was a world of difference from the person in charge at Naladhu, where I stayed afterwards) There were days when the weather was bad all day because of the rainy season. On the island, you can see all kinds of creatures, such as big bats, running birds, small white (transparent) crabs, birds that make a wheezing sound, and birds as big as cranes. My husband and I stayed at Anantara Dhigu for our honeymoon, and the sunset overwater villa was absolutely stunning and beautiful. Every detail in the room was delightful, especially the sculptures inspired by eagle rays. It was incredibly private and romantic, with minimal noise. The food at all restaurants was equally fantastic. I want to particularly praise our villa host Chopey for his exceptional service. He provided a personalized tour of the resort, was always responsive, and helped us plan our itinerary with superb recommendations. Additionally, I'd like to commend marine biologist Elias. We had an amazing brace-net session with him, which was our favorite souvenir from the trip! Elias also accompanied us on a guided snorkeling trip around the house reef and coral nursery, sharing insights about the fish and sharks we encountered, and we were fortunate to spot some fascinating marine life! The housekeeper was also remarkably attentive, noticing our habits and adjusting to our needs. He kept our room immaculate, making our stay comfortable and enjoyable, even organizing a bubble bath for us. Massive thanks to spa staff Chanya and Irene, who provided incredible massages that were relaxing and simply the best spa experience. I want to extend my gratitude to everyone involved in our stay. Our inaugural visit to the Maldives couldn't have led us to a finer resort than Anantara Dhigu. The kids’ club was a standout—catering perfectly to both older and younger children. Our little ones adored every moment, from crafting and pizza-making to water polo and beach games. The Aquafanatics Water Sports Centre was equally impressive. We had our first snorkelling lesson with coach Wisam, who was not only patient but also highly professional. Anantara’s home lagoon is breathtaking, featuring a coral nursery and diverse marine life—our kids were thrilled to see Nemo fish and Dories! Beyond that, we tried numerous exhilarating water sports like jet skiing, seabob rides, kneeboarding, and glass kayaking, all of which we thoroughly savored. We also embarked on a snorkelling safari with Augustina, Becky, and Yameen, discovering open waters teeming with vibrant corals and fish schools—truly unforgettable. Another highlight was our eco-tour with Elias (Eli) from the biodiversity team. He guided us in snorkelling at Gulifushi Island, letting us explore a natural ocean pool and explaining the resort's efforts in cultivating and protecting coral reefs. He then gave us a fascinating behind-the-scenes tour, showing how the island manages water desalination, energy generation, waste management, bio-gas processes, staff quarters, and even food operations. It was remarkable witnessing the island's self-sufficiency in the middle of the ocean. A special note of gratitude goes to Kadir, our host, who was wonderful throughout. From arrival to departure, he thoughtfully coordinated our activities, meals, and requests. Did you know the Maldives imports about 95% of its produce? Yet, everything was fresh and perfectly cooked. The local lobster was heavenly, the fish line-caught, and the buffet—a delicious, diverse selection. Cleanliness: 100/100—utterly spotless, even the beach paths looked freshly raked each morning. We experienced an incredible vacation. The island is stunning, the rooms were spotless, the food was superb, and the service was outstanding throughout. Plus, that was the comfiest bed I've ever slept in. Our Room Boy ensured the room was pristine and kept our coffee supply well stocked. During our move between villas, our host, Mr. Simah, delivered exceptional service, ensuring the transition was seamless. The kids club is perfect for children, even our baby enjoyed it. The staff were attentive and even knew our baby's name when we first arrived, which pleasantly surprised us. We also utilized the photographer services; he took us to stunning locations and captured both videos and photos wonderfully. Just a few days later, he delivered an excellently edited video. We loved it!

The vistas of the hotel along with the sea are absolutely flawless. Every staff member is incredibly welcoming. The island boasts comprehensive facilities and activities. All the restaurants provide very good taste and service overall. The rooms are immaculate and well-organized. The cleaning crew excels in tidiness and thoroughly restocks all essential supplies. Sandi is exceptionally welcoming and proficient in speaking Chinese.

Family trip to Dhigu. The room is quite nice and the food at all the restaurants is really excellent. The staff are helpful, and a special thanks goes to our housekeeper Sandi, who is very attentive and friendly. She speaks Chinese fluently, making communication easy for us. She assisted with daily restaurant reservations and suggested activities, ensuring we enjoyed our stay even when it rained.

Everyone was friendly, helpful, always smiling, and ensuring we had all we needed. Our Villa Host, Saajid, was exceptional, consistently checking in on us in the most discreet and considerate manner, often predicting our needs before we even expressed them. He made our stay feel effortless. Jinan, the Assistant Front Office Manager, was wonderful too: his warm welcome and genuine care made us feel at home from the outset, and it was clear he genuinely cares about every guest. We're rather selective when it comes to hotels and had extensively researched the Maldives, but staying here proved to be the best choice. Everything surpassed our expectations, and we're already dreaming of returning someday.

The hotel was 60 USD per night, without breakfast. Gulhi is home to local residents, which gives it a unique, authentic atmosphere. Swimming is allowed only at the bikini beach, just 5 minutes’ walk from the hotel. 🏖️ Every evening, I enjoyed freshly grilled seafood — fish, prawns, and the tastiest local dishes right by the water.
