Malediwa Island.
1. In Male, the capital of Maldives, I checked into the "Relaxation" hotel, but was unable to obey its command and relax.
The shed, which provides shelter from wind and rain, is built with bricks for building lightweight structures and is equipped with a spare water tank.
2. Diwa Island is located in the depths of the Indian Ocean, hundreds of nautical miles southeast of Male, the capital of the Maldives. Satellite images show that the entire island is covered with green vegetation. The four sides of the island are adjacent to the sea with high straight cliffs. Under the cliffs, the waves are surging, and patches of reefs reveal their black tops.
3. Photos 10 and 11 show that it takes 25 minutes by seaplane from Male International Airport to Diwa Island. The plane deftly shuttles through the clouds, overlooking the emerald-like islands scattered in the Indian Ocean. Both the eyes and the soul are fascinated by the heaven.
The clouds were suspended over the sea, high and low. Small dragonfly-like planes were flying between the clouds, swaying from side to side, but it was not scary at all.
The pilot was sitting right in front of me without any isolation measures.
3. On the island, no one wants to answer the phone, read emails, or even walk in a hurry. They just sit on the balcony watching the sea, and occasionally go into the water to chase schools of fish. They are very satisfied.
4. An island is a paradise, isolated from reality.
It is not an exaggeration to call Diwa Island a paradise. The fifth photo shows that every water house and beach villa faces the sea. Nearly 4 kilometers of pure white sand beach extends into the lagoon. Various tropical fish swim as if no one is around. The water is as blue as emerald and glass. Wandering above it makes you feel like sleepwalking.
5. Every day at 5pm, there will be a feeding activity for manta rays and small sharks on Diwa Island. These ferocious-looking creatures swim from the deep sea to the lagoon on time and enjoy their free dinner with peace of mind.
6. The most famous activity on Diwa Island is deep-sea diving and dancing with whale sharks. There are oceanographers on the island as coaches.
Put on a diving suit, walk into the sea, and float alone among the coral reefs. All around, there were schools of tropical fish of various sizes and shapes. They first examined it carefully to confirm that this huge body was also a "fish", and then scrambled to kiss its fingers.
At that moment, the mermaid merged together. The 7th, 8th and 9th photos recorded this moment. I can’t bear to delete the time displayed.
7. Despite the popularity of fishing, the Maldives is still a paradise for fish because the country's laws prohibit the use of nets to catch fish. All fish, including those of local fishermen, are caught by fishing.
Imagine the boundless sea of the Maldives. Under the water, there are almost endless schools of fish that can be caught almost within reach.
With such resources and such a restrained mentality, it is no coincidence that the Maldives is called a "paradise".
8. Using a small plastic octopus as bait, I actually caught a fish.
A hundred-meter-long fishing line was thrown into the deep sea. Another reason why the fish here are stupid is that the bait used is a small plastic octopus.
Throw the plastic octopus 🐙 into the sea, and just wait quietly with full of expectation.
Suddenly, the fishing line began to shake, and a group of people cheered loudly.
