A Stylish Homestay | Yujing by Dongjiang Lake

🥰 After my May Day trip to Chenzhou, I returned over two months later to see the mist-covered Xiaodong River—this time with my mom! Since it was a family trip, I put extra thought into choosing accommodations and ultimately settled on Yujing, a lakeside homestay with a wabi-sabi aesthetic. 🌊 Here’s a quick rundown of my criteria for selecting a homestay: 🎈 **Proximity to attractions**: Convenience is key, especially since catching the mist over Xiaodong River requires an early start. 🎈 **Spacious rooms**: Room size is my top priority—nothing under 30㎡, as I believe ample space equals comfort. 🎈 **Cleanliness and modernity**: I only consider places opened in the last year or two for their updated facilities. 💐 After comparing options like Ximo Homestay, Wild Courtyard by Dongjiang Lake, and Sicilian Homestay, I chose the newly opened Yujing. Personally, I lean toward newer establishments (though honestly, Dongjiang Lake’s hotels and homestays are all great! 🉑🉑🉑). 🍵 **Photos 1-6**: The lobby features a striking pool, its reflection mirrored on the ceiling—a brilliant design touch. The space also includes floral arrangements, a tea room, and a reading nook, creating a serene vibe. A rocking chair by the window made sipping fruit tea while gazing at the clouds pure bliss. Waking up to mist swirling over the lake the next morning was magical—no need to step outside for the view!
