During my vacation, I took my kids to what's billed as the world's largest indoor theme park. I was immediately struck by the massive, high-tech spaceship exterior; it completely exceeded my expectations. It's an interstellar ocean adventure that blends technology, education, and entertainment, and it's definitely worth the money. ❣️Ten themed areas offer diverse ecosystems for exploration: Cosmic World, Asia Planet, Rainforest Planet, Canyon Planet, Coral Secret Realm, Interstellar Platform, Exploration University, Whale Shark Black Hole, Space Dragon Palace, and Whale Universe. The park's overall opening hours are 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, but each area has different hours. It's recommended to plan ahead and pay special attention to the wristband quest times. ❣️Personal Favorites: Quest Bracelets and the Killer Whale Show My favorite feature of the park is the quest bracelet system. There are 73 locations throughout the park where you earn points by completing quests. To collect points, you constantly have to search for various science quizzes. However, a word of caution: it's best to exchange your wristbands upon arrival. We didn't exchange them until the afternoon, so we didn't earn enough points. The killer whale science show 🐋 is absolutely a must-see! Focusing on killer whale conservation, it incorporates presentations on bird flight and killer whale behavior. It's recommended to bring your own raincoat if you're seated in the first five rows. If you don't have a raincoat, rows 6-10 are best for a good view without getting soaked. ❣️ Value for Money While the tickets are not cheap, considering this is the world's largest indoor theme park, I think it's worth it. I highly recommend purchasing a hotel and park package, as you simply can't do it all in one day! We only explored five areas on the first day and continued on the second day to avoid feeling overwhelmed. ❣️ Restaurant prices are a bit high, with a set menu costing around 98-128 yuan. If you can afford it, we recommend the Whale Western Restaurant, which features a large glass display window, allowing you to dine up close while watching whales. This experience is truly unique, and while it's a bit pricey, it's definitely worth it. Avoid the peak dining hours of 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM, when there are fewer people, so you can enjoy a quiet moment dining with the whales. ⚠️ Disadvantages to Note - Signage wasn't clear enough, and we got lost several times. - Limited dining options. ❣️ Overall Experience Overall, Chimelong Spaceship Park left a deep impression on me. It's more than just an amusement park; it's a living, breathing natural environment classroom. It successfully integrates play and education, and my children returned to discuss endangered animal conservation. The educational value is unmatched by other theme parks. While it was expensive (around 3,000 yuan for two days), seeing how my children learned through entertainment and strengthened family bonds made it a worthwhile investment. I recommend avoiding weekends and holidays; visiting on weekdays is much more enjoyable. A final tip: Don't forget to redeem your wristband points for gifts before leaving the park.
