Residing in Zhoushan, I was blessed with an extraordinary journey of prayer and blessings

This trip to Zhoushan granted me a truly unique spiritual pilgrimage. I stayed at the Zhoushan Putuo Blossom Hill Mansion·Water Street Manor near Putuo Long-Distance Bus Terminal (commonly known as Shenjiamen). The surrounding facilities were comprehensive, with dining options, supermarkets, and indoor hot springs all available along Water Street. Yet stepping into the manor felt like entering a tranquil retreat, where all worldly disturbances faded away. The hotel's transportation was exceptionally convenient, offering complimentary shuttle services to Wugongzhi Pier, making it easy to take a boat to Putuoshan for Buddhist worship the next day. The hotel's design followed a traditional Chinese courtyard layout, incorporating antique elements that epitomized the pinnacle of Eastern aesthetics. The lobby featured bookshelves, tea tables, and sofa seating, offering complimentary tea and free participation in the "Blossom Hill Daily Life" activities. These activities were diverse, including cinnabar bracelet making, folded prayer lotuses, handmade incense plaques, incense ceremonies, singing bowl therapy, and scripture copying—perfect for families and pilgrims alike. All activities revolved around Zen themes. If interested, you could spend the first day engaging in these Zen-inspired activities at the hotel before heading to Putuoshan for prayers the next day. I enjoyed breakfast at the Blossom Hill Dining Room on the first floor, savoring seafood rice noodles and desserts—all delicious. Outside the dining room, there were outdoor leisure tables and chairs, ideal for afternoon tea. The coffee cups bore auspicious blessings, reflecting Zhoushan's local charm. The freshly ground coffee with latte art was aromatic, paired perfectly with Chinese pastries and fresh fruit—all delightful. The second floor housed a gym. Outdoors, the hotel had a small children's pool with lounge chairs, making it a perfect summer retreat for families. The seasonal garden featured azaleas and a Chinese-style pavilion, exuding traditional elegance. The hotel provided both above-ground and underground parking. I stayed in a Water View Deluxe King Room overlooking the water and a bridge. Welcome fruits were provided, with a rich variety and beautiful color presentation. A complimentary minibar included Coca-Cola, Sprite, and Schweppes. Drip coffee bags, ripe Pu'er tea, and rose tea bags were also provided. Steam eye masks and 3M noise-canceling foam earplugs were included. The toiletries were excellent, featuring Blossom Hill's custom lemon verbena-scented hand soap, lotion, body wash, conditioner, and shampoo. Amenities included a Dyson hairdryer, tea sets, aromatherapy, and wooden chairs. Nearby, you could explore Putuo Water Street, with its restaurants, supermarkets, and hot spring facilities. In the evening, the street's night views were stunning, with beautiful lights and fountains. Upon departure, the hotel gifted a souvenir.
