Those planning to go to Zhoushan, take a look here or you might regret it

Zhoushan, this coastal city, will punish anyone who doesn't plan their trip carefully. Here, accommodations, dining, transportation, and Mount Putuo all require special attention. Accommodations: Firstly, I recommend the Westin Hotel, which has a great environment, fresh air, no issues with the restaurants, and is close to the beach. Sisters with a budget can go for it. The price is moderate, and the service is thoughtful. Next, be wary of guesthouses that might seem like a bargain; although they are cheap, the room environment and location are poor, and the owners can be unfriendly. Now is the off-peak season for tourism, and according to locals, the price of guesthouses should be around 200-300 yuan. So, sisters who care about price and location must compare more and look at real feedback. Dining: Although the fishing ban limits seafood availability, the belt fish is still delicious. On the first day, I ate at Sichuan Haijia near the hotel, which was recommended by the hotel staff as a chain restaurant with good taste but slightly expensive prices. On the second day, I tried Gaojiazhuang, recommended by locals, and it was great. On the third day, I had seafood noodles near the hotel, and it was my first time trying them; I loved it. There's a coffee shop nearby run by a couple who are super nice and offer some local travel tips. Overall, dining in Zhoushan was quite good, and I didn't encounter any disappointments. Mount Putuo: Due to heavy fog, the ferry service was suspended, and I didn't get to the island until after noon. Because of the tight schedule, I didn't have a proper meal in Putuo but just bought some snacks from the shops. The scenery in Putuo is beautiful; I took the cable car up and hiked down. But maybe because I haven't exercised in a long time, my legs hurt for three days after the trip. It's best to check the weather forecast before you go. Transportation: I suggest using ride-hailing services for the entire trip. Now that ride-hailing is very convenient, and since traveling for a day is tiring, I didn't consider other modes of transportation. If I come back for a longer stay in the future, I might consider renting a small electric vehicle or something similar. Overall, aside from the unpleasant experience with the guesthouse on the first day, I really like this place. The air, greenery, scenery, and food are all great. I would come back if I have the chance. Traveling isn't necessarily about visiting many famous scenic spots; slowing down, changing the scenery, and experiencing local life can also be a way to relax.
