Drive from Guangzhou to Sheraton Zhongshan for a Lunar New Year staycation

🅿️ The hotel has a ground parking lot (narrow roads, full parking lot, test your driving skills; there are NIO charging piles) 🅿️ The hotel has an underground parking lot (not large, wide parking spaces, easy to park at night) 🏙 Nearby: Qijiang Park, Zhan Garden, Colorful Ferris Wheel, Sunwen West Pedestrian Street, Zhongshan Museum, etc. (I think this is the C position of the old city, first-class location) 🚘 For this Lunar New Year self-driving tour to Zhongshan, we chose this Sheraton Zhongshan Hotel, which has a first-line river view and a panoramic view of the scenery on both sides of the Qijiang River! Book a deluxe room for 1 night, including breakfast for two and a seafood buffet dinner! A Marriott hotel, close to Qijiang Park, check in at Sunwen West Road! 🏨 Check-in experience: The first stay in 2025 was at Sheraton Zhongshan. We left around noon after having dim sum in the morning. It took about 90 minutes to drive from Guangzhou to Zhongshan. Due to the Lunar New Year, the hotel was understaffed, but there were many guests, so check-in was slow, and the check-in process took about 30 minutes... 🎡 The beautiful lady at the front desk upgraded me to a river view room for free, where I could overlook the entire Zhongshan cityscape, the beautiful Qijiang River, and the Eye of Zhongshan - the Ferris wheel! Although there was a construction site next door, which affected the view a little, overall, I think the view was good because you can't see the construction site when lying in bed. 🛏️ As for the hotel facilities, after all, it is an old five-star hotel, and the lobby, elevator hall, and public corridor are well maintained and very tidy; the equipment in the room is a bit old, after all, it has been open for more than 20 years. However, the shower has hot water quickly, and the drainage is smooth; the bed is moderately firm, and the bedding, bathrobes, and towels are not too old, maintaining a five-star standard! 🍲 The only downside is the restaurant experience, the service can only be rated 60 points... Whether it is breakfast or dinner, there is no one to lead the way... Especially during breakfast time, there are no seats in the restaurant, but guests are still allowed to go in and find a seat by themselves... The food for breakfast and dinner is just average, after all, the price is there. 🏊🏻‍♀️ Because I hurt my foot this time, I didn't experience the gym and swimming pool this time, I can come to swim next time. For friends in the Greater Bay Area, Sheraton Zhongshan is still a good choice for a light vacation in Zhongshan, with a superior location, comfortable and spacious rooms, and convenient charging for electric vehicles!
