Water quality and function: • The water quality of Shizhai Reservoir is good, reaching the Class II standard in the "Surface Water Environmental Quality Standard" (GB3838-2002). It is a centralized drinking water source at the township level, providing important drinking water resources for surrounding residents. 2⛰️Surrounding scenery: • The scenery around the reservoir is beautiful, with rich vegetation and large areas of Metasequoia forests. In certain seasons, the Metasequoia forest changes color and becomes picturesque, attracting many tourists to come and watch and take pictures. For example, in autumn and winter, the leaves of the Metasequoia will turn red or orange, which contrasts beautifully with the mountain and water scenery of the reservoir. 🚶Hiking routes: • There are relatively mature hiking routes here, which is a good place for outdoor enthusiasts. There are two more popular hiking routes. One is to navigate to Zhongshan Professional Forest Fire Brigade. This is a crossing line of about 5.5 kilometers and takes about 3 hours.
