It is said to be the color of Xiaoman, one of the 24 solar terms, and can be regarded as one of the most beautiful colors of Zhengzhou's ancient buildings. It gives people a very elegant and distant taste, and a sense of freedom without worries or fears. Walking into the temple and taking a closer look, I found that this City God Temple is indeed extraordinary. As you can see, the main hall is majestic, with a total of three large gardens in depth, and it is a typical hip-and-gable style building. The most eye-catching thing is the blue-green glazed tile room that emits a distant blue-green light in the sun. The ridge decoration is also made of green glazed tiles, with large-snouted beasts on the ridge and a lion vase in the middle. Looking closely, the high and colorful brackets under the eaves look very solemn and luxurious. The entire building is covered with glazed tiles, with curved roofs and flying eaves, with exquisite shape and compact structure. The biggest attraction is the carvings inside and outside the hall. There are dragons and phoenixes carved on the front roof, with lotus flowers and lions beside them. The patterns are exquisite and the carvings are meticulous. Carved dragons, phoenixes, and peonies can be seen on both sides of the hall; The hall is engraved with "Eight Immortals Crossing the Sea" as well as verdant pines and cypresses, figures, birds and animals, with beautiful composition. It turns out that this temple was built during the Hongwu period of the Ming Dynasty and has a history of more than 600 years. It is actually the largest and most complete existing ancient building complex from the Ming and Qing Dynasties in Zhengzhou city. Although the courtyard does not cover a large area, its beauty lies in its bright colors and exquisiteness. Whether it is the architectural style or the paint, paintings and carved decorations, it is really worth seeing.
