【Zhengding Ancient City】Four towers stand tall, guarding a city

|||🔶Tour route: The four towers of Zhengding are not far apart. When the weather is cool, you can start the citywalk mode. You can first climb the ancient city wall of Changle Gate on the south side of the city and take a 💯three towers in one💯 photo. Then head north, visiting Guanghui Temple➡️Linji Temple➡️Yanghe Tower➡️Kaiyuan Temple➡️Tianning Temple in turn. Tianning Temple is a bit far away, at the far north. If the weather is hot, like in summer, there is not much shade on this route. If you want a "luxury tour", you can take a taxi, with each stop being a three to five minute drive. 🔶About self-driving: You can navigate to the parking lot of Guanghui Temple, or navigate to Chengling Temple. There are many parking spaces nearby. On holidays, many streets in the ancient city will become pedestrian streets and prohibit driving after about eight o'clock in the evening, making parking very inconvenient, with no-entry signs everywhere. 🔶Record of the Four Towers: 1️⃣Tianning Temple Lingxiao Tower A nine-story brick and wood mixed structure tower, the most unique feature is that the first to third floors of the tower body are brick-imitation wood structure, the fourth floor is a brick and wood mixed structure, and the fifth to ninth floors are wood structure. It is said that the fourth floor retains the tower core column structure composed of nine round columns. Among the existing ancient towers in China, only the Lingxiao Tower of Tianning Temple still has this structure. Unfortunately, climbing the tower is now prohibited, and we can only admire the wisdom of the ancients from the introduction. 2️⃣Kaiyuan Temple Sumeru Tower The whole body is made of brick, and the stone plaque on the front of the tower is engraved with the four characters "Sumeru stands tall". Apart from the stone tower door hole with some carvings, there are no other decorations, which is slightly simple compared to the other three ancient towers. 3️⃣Guanghui Temple Hua Tower A relic of the Jin Dynasty, it is a three-story octagonal tower that looks like a blooming flower. The upper half of the tower is carved with tigers, lions, elephants, dragons, bodhisattvas and strong men, etc., with exquisite workmanship and lifelike, it is my favorite among the four towers. 4️⃣Linji Temple Chengling Tower It is an octagonal nine-story solid brick tower with a delicate overall design, beautiful shape, rich decoration, and a structure full of changes. The tower body is obviously inward, showing a delicate state, and it is the most delicate among the four towers in the ancient city.
