The Xinchangtai Confucius Temple is a National 3A-level tourist attraction and the largest Confucius Temple in Fujian Province, covering a total area of 242 mu, second only to the Qufu Confucius Temple in Shandong. It faces south from the north, with a rigorous layout, featuring an east-west symmetrical and five-courtyard design, combining the grandeur of northern Confucius Temples with the exquisite craftsmanship of Southern Fujian architecture. The main buildings include Dacheng Hall, Dacheng Gate, Bell Tower, Drum Tower, Apricot Altar, East Wing, West Wing, etc. Plaques such as "Golden Sound and Jade Vibration" and "Virtue Crowns Heaven and Earth" are antique and elegant, with profound meanings.
