Avoid the May Day crowds!! Changsha is just 4h away from the enchanting 'Green Wonderland 100'

With the May Day holiday approaching, many group members have been asking me for advice based on my experience last year when I took a small group to camp in Zhangjiajie. I've decided to write down these experiences in detailed notes to help everyone plan their trip. Today, I'm excited to introduce 'Little Golden Whip Stream'. This place is just short of being developed, but the undeveloped areas mean fewer people and no fees, so I highly recommend everyone to come and take a walk here! During the National Day holiday, we came here and, apart from the local residents coming to fetch water, we hardly encountered any tourists! The path is paved with cement, making it very suitable for bringing the elderly and children to breathe fresh air, with an abundance of oxygen ions. After getting used to breathing all sorts of vehicle exhaust and industrial emissions in the city, just standing here and breathing is a sublime pleasure! Some of our group members hiked along the stream for over ten kilometers without reaching the end, and I look forward to you telling me what lies at the end. For navigation, search for 'Baihutang Community, Suoxiyu Sub-district, Zhangjiajie'. Park your car at the entrance, and walk about five to six hundred meters to the first water fetching spot. The water here is spring water, and you can drink it directly. Continue walking for about 1.5 kilometers, and you'll find another water fetching spot. The water here is drawn from 150 meters underground. Local residents will drive thirty to fifty kilometers just to fetch water here, and some even send the water to Shanghai. The water quality can be preserved for about a month. Our group filled a few buckets of water to bring back to Changsha, and we bought some local berry tea to brew. The sweet and lingering aftertaste made me feel that all other teas are just mundane! You can plan to spend half a day here, accompanied by the sound of the babbling stream, admiring the unique peaks and rocks, walking leisurely without any specific destination in mind. Just being here and breathing the air is a supreme enjoyment.
