💁🏻‍♀️ Over the weekend, I spent half a day in the osmanthus-scented Tianzhuang Old Street in Zhangjiagang. I have to say, visiting here in early November, was just perfect and exactly to my liking. The breeze was gentle, the autumn air was crisp, and it was a truly comfortable and pleasant season for outings in the south of the Yangtze River. 🌿 The Tianzhuang Old Street, soaked in the fragrance of osmanthus, was long and quiet, the slightly pinkish stone alleys, mostly Ming and Qing ancient buildings, walking around, the southern Yangtze River charm of the old street, with that touch of literary breath, entered my heart. ✍️ The former glory of Tianzhuang Ancient Town is now unreachable, now only a 250-meter long, 2-meter wide North Street remains, it is a part of the life of the people of Tianzhuang. The old street is small, walking on the greenish, shiny stone road, you can still feel the once bustling and lively atmosphere. The ancient street was built along the river, there are teahouses, blacksmith shops, snack bars, stove cakes, handicraft shops, the commercial atmosphere is not strong, and there are not many tourists. 🍃 Walking around, inside every wooden door on the old street, there is the breath of life, in the winding and deep ancient alleys, old people sit at the entrance of the alley unfolding the chessboard, playing chess leisurely, the warm sun in the autumn afternoon, scattered a ground of fine and warm sunlight in the alley, peaceful and quiet. 👀 Coming to Tianzhuang Ancient Town, those who like history and culture, can enter the Number One Scholar's Mansion and Yang's Filial Piety Archway, etc., to search for the famous figures and events in the history of the old street, and have a deeper understanding of the humanities of Tianzhuang Ancient Town. 🧚‍♀️ Walking along, the fragrance of osmanthus on the old street, was covered by the aroma of just out of the oven stove cakes.
