Gornergrat mountain train

The Gornergrat railway is a 9 km long mountain railway line in Switzerland, connecting Zermatt and Gornergrat. The railway starts at 1,604 meters and ends at 3,089 meters, with a height difference of 1,485 meters. The railway construction began in 1896 and was completed in 1898. It is a famous tourist route in Switzerland. The Gornergrat mountain train will reach the Gornergrat station at the top of the mountain, which is nearly 3,100 meters above sea level, in about 30 minutes. There are toilets, a gift and snack shop, and a first aid station in the station. From this station, you can start hiking on various alpine trails, or admire the Matterhorn directly from the station, or walk to a nearby hotel restaurant to enjoy alpine cuisine. #Overseas Travel
