Gornergrat covered in snow, mid-May

Usually, when you go to Gornergrat, you eat cup ramen at the observatory, take pictures of the Matterhorn, then go back to Riffelberg Station and trek to Rotenboden and Lake Riffelsee. I actually wanted to do it, but as you can see in the pictures, trekking is impossible in mid-May because of the snow. It was really disappointing.ㅠㅠ.
