Asia's Latin city in Mindanao

Zamboanga City’s identity is deeply intertwined with Spain—from the way they speak, to the food they eat. Their culture is a colorful mix between the conquistadores of yore, to Christian and Muslim customs. The best time to go to Zamboanga City is during October when they celebrate the annual Zamboanga Hermosa Festival. 📍 How to get to Zamboanga city Two of the three major airlines in the Philippines, Philippine Airlines and Cebu Pacific, has direct flights from Manila to Zamboanga City. Travel time is about an hour and forty five minutes, with five daily flights. Zamboanga can also be reached by ferries, albeit on a longer travel time, from major cities like Manila, Cebu, and Davao. If you’re already in Visayas and Mindanao, you can even ride a bus, both air-conditioned and non-aircon, going to Zamboanga through Ceres and Rural Transit. #zamboangacity #itsmorefuninthephilippines #travel

People in the Philippines like to celebrate Christmas for as long as possible! The playing of Christmas carols in shops can start in September! The formal Christmas celebrations start on 16th December when many people go the the first of nine pre-dawn or early morning masses. The last mass is on Christmas day. The Christmas celebrations continue to the First Sunday in January when Epiphany or the Feast of the Three Kings is celebrated. In the Philippines the early masses held before Christmas are called the 'Misa de Gallo' or 'Simbang Gabi' in Filipino. Most Filipinos are Christians with about 80% of people being Catholics. It's the only Asian country with so many Christians. Because of this, Christmas is the most important holiday in the Philippines. #newphotographer#christmastrip#travelinspiration#2019firsttravelpic#merrychristmas#scenicspotguide#unforgettableexperiences#nyedestinations#decembertravel#instagramworthydestinations#holidayvacation#wintergetaway#merryxmas#awesomepic

Paseo del Mar

#holidayvacation Paseo del Mar is a great place to relax and enjoy the panoramic view of the sea and the nearby islands. The sunset here is amazing. It is open early morning for people who want to jog, walk or exercise but it is most active in the afternoon and at night. There are array of restaurants here and some offer live band music at night. Moreover, there is a dancing fountain in the vicinity. There are also sea gypsies on their boat catching people’s attention. Lastly, this is the jumping off point going to the famous pink sand beach, Sta Cruz Islands which is 10 to 15 minutes by boat. #merryxmas #christmastrip#travelinspiration#givethanks#springholiday#decembertravel#holidayvacation
