This fairy-tale tribe in Yuyao is a hit with families! Stay in treehouses, chase fireflies, and never want to leave

Bringing the kids to Yuyao? Choosing this treehouse homestay was absolutely the right decision! Three days and two nights weren't enough—the children refused to leave! Tucked deep in a bamboo forest, the drive here winds through stunning green mountains and clear waters. The moment we arrived at the parking lot, we were amazed—dome-shaped treehouses suspended in mid-air, wooden walkways weaving through the bamboo, like stepping straight into a fairy tale, a thousand times more magical than the photos! At check-in, the staff welcomed us with local roasted green tea and gave the kids little lanterns for firefly chasing at night—cue instant cheers from the little ones. Our starry-sky treehouse was incredible! Perched 3 meters high on a tree trunk, climbing the wooden ladder felt like a special ritual. Opening the window revealed a sea of green, with rustling bamboo and birdsong waking us in the morning—way better than any alarm clock. The room was thoughtfully equipped: child-safe rounded furniture, a toy rocking horse, and even tear-free shampoo, making it super stress-free for parents. The rooftop skylight was the highlight—lying in bed stargazing at night, our kid couldn't stop chattering about the constellations. Nonstop fun every day! Mornings digging for bamboo shoots with the guide, afternoons catching minnows and playing with water guns by the stream, and evenings crafting bamboo lanterns together—so rewarding! Dinner was a must: farm-to-table dishes like tender bamboo chicken stew and juicy stir-fried bamboo shoots, with veggies fresh from the garden. Our picky eater devoured two bowls of rice here! The common areas were fantastic too! A small open-air pool with refreshing mountain spring water, a cozy lounge with picture books and board games for rainy days, and weekend bonfires where we roasted marshmallows and listened to crickets—pure joy you'd never find in the city.
