Discovering the Charm of Yunshuiyao Ancient Town 🏯

#favouriteitinerary During a past visit to Yunshuiyao Ancient Town, originally known as Changjiao Village, I was captivated by its rich cultural heritage. The village, part of the World Heritage site "Fujian Tulou," features long ancient paths, centuries-old banyan trees, mysterious Tulou buildings, and clear mountain waters, creating a transcendent experience. Heguilou, built during the Yongzheng reign of the Qing Dynasty, is a square Tulou that has remained stable for over two centuries, earning the title "Most Unique Tulou in the World." It even inspired Qiu's home in the movie "Big Fish & Begonia." The Great Waterwheel, located in the center of the scenic area, was part of the movie set for "Yunshuiyao" and remains preserved. Old Market Street, with its 700-year-old two-story wooden buildings, retains its historical charm.
