After his death, the local people and their descendants built an ancestral hall here to commemorate Guan Yu and his three generations of ancestors as a place to worship him. Therefore, it is the earliest ancestral hall commemorating Guan Yu today. Most of the existing buildings in the temple were rebuilt in the Qing Dynasty. The stone archway of Guanwang's hometown is located just south of Guandi's ancestral temple. The outer column of the second room is carved with the image of Wang Xiuli, the inspector and censor, who was erected in July of the second year of the Jiajing reign of the Ming Dynasty (1523 AD). The banner reads "Hometown of Guan Yu". There are four pillars and three rooms. In the main room, two pillars are carved with coiled dragons on each. The overall style is simple and plain. Chongning Hall is located at the center of the central axis of the ancestral temple. It was named after Guan Yu, who was conferred the title of "Chongning Zhenjun" by Emperor Huizong of Song in the third year of Chongning (1104 AD). It is a relic from the Jiaqing period of the Qing Dynasty. It is five bays wide and four bays deep, surrounded by corridors and has a double-eaved, nine-ridged hip roof. Inside the hall is a colorful statue of Guan Gong in imperial attire. Two attendants stand respectfully beside the shrine, and on the pillars on both sides hang couplets praising Guan Gong's bravery. The Niangniang Hall is located in the courtyard behind the Chongning Hall, the ancestral temple of Emperor Guan in Changping. It faces north and south, is five rooms wide and deep, and is surrounded by corridors and has a double-eaved hip roof. During the Song and Jin Dynasties, a special temple was built to worship him. In the 42nd year of the Wanli reign of the Ming Dynasty (1614 AD), she was given the title of "Empress Jiuling Yideshi Suying". Inside the hall is a colorful statue of Lady Guan, who wears a golden phoenix crown, has a dignified face and clear eyes. The east and west wing rooms house the halls of Guan Ping and his wife, and Guan Xing and his wife.
