Chilly spring day in Lijiang （丽江）

Two places I was able to visit in Lijiang was Yu Hu Village(玉湖村) and Bai Sha Old Town (白沙古镇). Yu Hu Village is located right at the foothills of the famous Yulong Snow Mountain (玉龙雪山) and is a great place for up close views of the mountain. It's quite a distance from the parking area to get into Yu Hu Village itself so make sure you get the tickets for the shuttle to get in and also to the lake area for close up shots with the snow mountain as background. Heard the surrounding area is a hotspot for wedding photography as well with the beautiful views. Bai Sha Old Town is not too far away and I saw lots of recommendations for pretty cafes and tea houses, great to wander around and explore. Make sure you try the grilled skewers (烤串), there are multiple stalls selling this and it's really good especially with all the spices that they cook it with. My favourite was the one with lots of cumin. #chinatravel
