Lijiang | Stone House Resort: A Warm and Inviting Getaway ⛰️ Stone House at the Foot of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain Located in Yuhu Village at the foot of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, Stone House initially attracted us with its beautiful scenery and stunning design. However, the resort's rich activities and enthusiastic staff captivated our little one so much that they didn't want to leave! 🏔️ We highly recommend the Naxi family visit. It's a great way to learn about the history of Yuhu Village and the customs of the Naxi people. You can also try your hand at grinding soybeans to make soy milk, learn some basic Naxi characters, and make paper using traditional methods, on which you can write auspicious Naxi words. We spent from 2pm to 5pm there, and our child still didn't want to leave the courtyard. 🏔️ The picking activity is also very interesting. During our winter visit, we went up the mountain behind the resort to collect pine cones, a short hike of about 3km. As it had snowed a few days prior, the mountain paths were covered in snow. The scenery along the way, with flocks of sheep, sheepdogs, pine cones, snow, streams, and the snow-capped mountains, was breathtaking. Our 4-year-old, who usually asks to be carried after 500 meters, walked the entire way, completely engrossed in the experience. The staff member, Bai Lu, was incredibly kind and attentive, constantly pointing out interesting things to our child. It was a truly wonderful experience. The collected pine cones can be used to decorate picture frames and make fridge magnets. We'd love to come back and try the horseback riding trail, which we heard is a private route discovered by the owner and the horse team. 🏔️ In the evening, the resort offers dinner accompanied by Naxi men singing and offering toasts, followed by a bonfire party, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. 🏔️ Don't miss Fairy Lake, just a 300-meter walk to the left of the resort entrance. The view of the snow mountain on a clear day is stunning, and it's a lovely place for a stroll.
