How about a night at a high-end quality inn in Yufuin, Kyushu?

When I first heard about the famous Yufuin hot spring town in the Fukuoka area, my younger brother and I decided to spend some money and stay at a nice inn for the first time in a while! We went on our first hot spring inn trip where we flexed a little (a lot)!! I've been to hot springs a few times in other places, but this was my first time staying overnight at an inn. This time, we went to an inn called Soan Cosmos. It was a very luxurious inn where the prices were much higher than regular hotels, and additional prices were added depending on the type of room and service you chose. When I was loitering around the entrance of the inn, the staff helped me with my bags, gave me a simple snack while checking in, and asked me carefully if I had any allergies to the food served for dinner and breakfast. I thought, ah, this is the taste of capitalism~~ㅋㅋㅋ The room we shared had two beds on the second floor and a living room, and the bathroom even had an open-air bath that could be accessed outdoors. It was a very private and cozy room where I could enjoy the bath and hot springs in the room I had reserved without having to go outside. After taking a quick walk around Yufuin, we returned in time for dinner and were guided to the dining hall where we could eat. They prepared a separate room for the people who had made the reservation, so we could enjoy our meal in a comfortable atmosphere. The food was also a special course that used high-quality local ingredients and the menu changed every season. We went there last fall and had mushrooms as the main dish, and we enjoyed various side dishes, raw fish, and Japanese dishes such as nabe, and then finished off with crunchy pears and mochi dessert. It was a satisfying meal with a lot of volume and great taste. After that, we used the public bathhouse and the hot spring bath in the private room again, and enjoyed a glass of beer and warming our bodies with warm hot spring water until we fell asleep on a slightly chilly night. We made a reservation for the breakfast service the next day, so we went out to eat breakfast together at the appointed time. We had a simple yet luxurious breakfast set that let you feel the deep flavor of fresh ingredients, and then rested a bit and checked in. After visiting this inn, I felt that the biggest strength was the atmosphere. I recommend this to those who want to experience the highest quality of a traditional Japanese resort where you can soak in the hot spring, have a glass of delicious sake, and walk around the streets at night to enjoy the beautiful nature in a pretty hot spring inn that looks like it came out of a Japanese movie or animation.
